So I picked up Dead Space, and the in-game AA doesn't work for shit, but forcing it through CCC seems to. First pic is set to "Application managed", second is 8x.

Enjoy my $93.98 guys - For those in Oztraylia, that amount would have gotten me one new full game from retail. (Like COD:Black Ops, retailing for $89 at JB)

Damage since Thanksgiving:
Indie 2D Pack, Indie Flight Pack, Everyday Genius: SquareLogic
Zeno Clash
Greed Corp, Swords and Soldiers HD
Mount and Blade: Warband, Rush
Super Meat Boy, AI War: Fleet Command
Altitude, FlatOut Ultimate Carnage (ROW)
Overlord Complete Pack, King Arthur Pack, Torchlight
Trials 2: Second Edition
Humble Indie Bundle
Winterbottom, Indie Kids Pack, Tomb Raider: Anniversary (ROW), Lara Croft GOL
Humble Indie Bundle 2 - Retail
Bob Came in Pieces
Beat Hazard, Just Cause 2
Shatter
Chime
Indie Story Pack

If I buy the STALKER bundle could I gift Shadow of Chernobyl to somebody since I already own it on Steam or would the extra version just disappear into the void?

I bought the THQ pack (although I already own DoWII and Chaos Rising) and got a notification during checkout that I wouldn't get an extra copy of DoWII to give away (as has been the practice in earlier sales). A few hours later I received an e-mail from Steam saying that I had a gift-copy of DoWII to give away. Not to look a gift game in the mouth, but that was weird.

DoWII is one of the handful of games you'll get one with:

Users who own "Dawn of War II" and then go on to purchase "Dawn of War II Gold Edition" will receive an extra copy of "Dawn of War II"

The sale has been devastating. I now have games for years to play. WHich is great, but will I ever get the chance to play them all? We'll see.

Super Meat Boy
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
Resident Evil 5
Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light
Defense Grid
Deathspank
Torchlight
Sam & Max Season 3
Red Faction: Guerilla
Batman: Arkham Asylum
The Witcher
Crysis
Far Cry 2
Mafia 2 + 2 DLC Packs
Everyday Genius
Amnesia
Hitman: Blood Money

I spent a bit more than 80€. Considering my budget was 50@ this is bad. On the other hand, this year's Holiday Sale won't be as bad, just because I already got a lot of shit.
It'll also be interesting to see how long my new plan works to skip all Weekend Sales until my backlog is severly diminished....

So first steam sale, first use of steam and total damage, 86 titles according to the library (in reality its about 80 when I include stuff I'm not installing for various reasons) and the total damage was £92.00 and most of that was the final day! Over £1 a game but not much over so thats the good side and I didn't go over £100 so thats a plus. I've not bothered linking the Humble Bundle(s) either which would push the average down further.

Now comes the real challenge. Playing them all before the next sale and not buying anything else for a few months or so...

But I specifically got a message that I would not be receiving an extra copy of DoWII during checkout (it was bolded and underlined - I should have screen-capped it :lol).

Time for the guilt :(
Since the beginning of the thanksgiving sale:

$90.10 for:

Gyromancer
The Maw
Sonic 3D Blast
On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness (Both)
Divinity II - Dragon Knight Saga
Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands
Super Meat Boy
Just Cause 2
Shatter
Indie Clever Pack
Indie Story Pack
Audiosurf
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY

And there is the two retail PS3 games and several PSN purchases plus my daughter got a Wii and some games for christmas... what am I doing gaf?

I have a problem!

it's kinda irritating, you can only purchase it as a gift again but in the shopping-cart menu you can choose "purchase for myself" ... so what happens if I buy it again, will the DLC work ?!

please someone answer only 1 hour left :(

I just did a once over of some games in their store to see if I missed any little gems, and stumbled across the Lucasarts Adventure Pack for $4.99

Comes with Indian Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, The Last Crusade, LOOM, and The Dig. Not bad! :)

If you have Sky Broadband then just ignore your limit, I've got about four times over my 10GB DL limit several times and they have never done anything -- the worst that can apparently happen is that they may send me a letter recommending me to upgrade my internet package :lol. If you're on another ISP then it's probably worth Googling to see if you can get away with the same.

I'm pretty pleased with my haul this sale. I spent a little less than the cost of 2 new console games and got 18 games. Viva la PC :D

Ireland has them too - and I think there have been rumours of some of the big ISPs in Spain bringing in limits too

I know we're all feeling a little butt raped from the holiday sale that never seemed to end, but the good news is that after about a month or so the pain of our purchases won't hurt as bad. We can now look forward to owning/playing our huge catalog of great games and I for one am very excite! I missed out on a lot of top tier games and I finally have a chance to catch up. Woot! (my grid is so full and pretty now too! lol)

So I've already beat Batman: AA this past weekend and I'm now working through and completely addicted to Mass Effect 2. After that I'm thinking of hitting up GTAIV and Dead Space. So many good games so little time!!

All in all it's been a good year GAF! I think this year I'm going to add $10 to my steam wallet once a month until the next Christmas holiday sale. Maybe 2011 is the year I get a little smarter about how I handle my uncontrollable urge to buy steam games? How about you? :lol
