I just did a quick calculation yesterday of all the games that I have ever bought on Steam, which came to not even $400. When I divide the amount by the number of games, I effectively been paying on average $5 for pc games since 2007.

After being disappointed in Morrowind and Mass Effect (and having not played the Witcher yet) Bloodlines is one of those games I'm hoping will convince me that WRPGs made past the 90s are worth playing.

I think Morrowind is my favorite WRPG after Fallout 2. Its broken in all the right places.

It would be nice if Steam implemented the GOG sale system - if you have some games in the pack, you can take the value of those games off the price of the pack. But that'll never happen.

Morrowind was alright, but for an open-world quest heavy RPG the quests felt lackluster and the overall package didn't grab me. Its the stronger of the two though, I liked what I played, I just didn't love it enough to put more then twenty hours into it.
Mass Effect was alright, but for a story heavy RPG the story was cliche-ridden and didn't have a lot of surprises, and the game was more linear then I would have liked. I'm still waiting for a 3D WRPG that grabs me like Planescape: Torment or Fallout 2 or most of the Spiderweb games do.

It bugs the crap out of me too, going all the way back to previos sales. I own almost everything in the THQ pack but want the early red faction games. I would buy the pack in a heartbeat if they prorated previous games (that wouldn't be the first time it's happened, but I can't remember which game offered the discount. Maybe that turnbased "something" princess game that's similar to HOMM?) Or at least let us gift extra copies.
