Excuse my hardware related illiteracy but is this

"The GPU churns out 1.71 G Primitives/ second, 41 GTexels/s and the GPU is paired with three sets of ram – DRAM access (CPU Cache Coherent) and 68 GB/s with non-CPU cache coherent DRAM access. The GPU would also have access to high performance eSRAM with a peak bandwidth of 204 GB/s."

I'm reading right now this interview...

The AMD guy said....

Robert Hallock: People often compare the hardware of the next-gen consoles and the PC, compare specs on paper, and conclude that these consoles must be “PCs in a box.” That is patently untrue. While there are many commonalities, there were platform architecture decisions made for the consoles that set them apart from the PC in a significant way: how developers access the hardware, the Xbox One’s ESRAM, and the PlayStation 4’s UMA are all powerful examples of such decisions.

11/10
so we basically know that the PS4 has hUMA or some form of it while the Xbox One does not... we also know that the PS4 has a custom version of Derict X in it compared to the Xbox one which helps in shaders etc... I'm I correct of wrong?

PS4 doesn't use directX at all. Sony's PS4 utilizes its' own two APIs. PSSL which is high level and is equivalent to DirectX 11.2+ and a more low level API LibGCM.
