Stop talking out of your ass and shitting up this thread.

Oh ducky, your my favorite mod, how many regularly go into threads ready to fight ^^

On topic, I have seens the scans... the game looks nice (I still find it odd not having J-scans here but I do agree with why its not allowed completely ^^ China needs to become a strong-positioner in the market so we get the scans from there, they can't complain with how much piracy happens that isn't stopped >.>)

I will be getting it if the game is fun, although a few still images tell us nothing about the gameplay, we need videos!

Interested in character design, it escape a little from the generic anime style, trying to do something more.

Someone on a certain banned site claims the character designer from Eureka 7 is doing character designs for this game.

I definitely see the resemblance now that I think about it.

EDIT: Damn, beaten long distance :lol

I've been reading Deadman Wonderland lately. I dig his style, and although the character designs in this game that we've seen so far are nothing stellar, I can see them growing on me with time.

Pink Haired girl looks exactly like Anemone
Blonde dude looks exactly like Moondoggie

its the same guy.

The blonde guy actually reminded me more of Solomon from Blood+, now you mentioned Moondoggie (who I totally forgot about) and now, I can't unsee it. So yeah, definitely the same person there. :p

Breath of Fire II! Get there immediately!

On-Topic: yea, the game looks cool. Wonder how it controls.
On that note, did you hear about this yet?
Cubed³'s Adam Riley: Considering your current deal with Capcom, and the fact that the company has left its Breath of Fire series untouched for far too long, would you ever give consideration to tackling the resurrection of that RPG franchise?

The Takahashi Brothers: We get asked this a lot recently. The development team is extremely important in making an RPG and when some of the team left after Mario Tennis GBA we had to say it wasn’t possible. Lately, however, the gap is being filled and I’m quite confident to take on pretty much anything. It is possible to start planning for titles such as the Breath of Fire series. As I mentioned earlier, the number of games we can develop at a time is quite limited so we would like to consider what people want the most in order to determine the next title for development.

Right now it's 1:49 AM on June 27th in Japan.

Hope the website opens soon. What time do Japanese websites open?

Sometimes in the morning like at 10am, sometimes at the end of the work day at 5 or 6pm.

The battle screen set up and combo meter really remind me of Grandia.

Didnt someone just say the other day that the Wii should get a Grandia I remake or something similar? Not saying thats what this is of course, just saying its funny how someone said that about 2 days ago, then this pops up with a Grandia II/III esque battle system.

John Harker

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.

what!

Is this interview new? How great would that be!

Breath of Fire >>> Golden Sun (sorry)

These guys talk a lot of empty talk though, 'oh it would be so great to.... yes fans ask for... yes the world is our oyster... etc etc' so I'm not going to get too excited, but its still cool to hear it talked about!

The full interview is yet to be published. And yeah, the Takahashi brothers have been saying they want to work on a new RPG for ages now. Get to work instead of doing interviews, you lazy bums.

Holy fuck a new Breath of Fire?

BoF is awesome!

Maybe if it happens we'll get a good localization. Man, I wish Capcom would go back and relocalize BoF 1-4. ):

The character designs do look stupid, but the rest of the game looks *really* hot.

I can't wait for direct feed scans tomorrow!

Oh my gosh. This game! Its like they made it for me. I love everything so far, including the awesome character design. Why isn't this thread on the front page?

MMV as a whole has pretty much been Wii's best company.
No More Heroes
Rune Factory
King's Story
Oboro
Arc Rise
Harvest Moon

They are definitely going to be the best 3rd party on Wii for a while.

I tend to not read my posts until after they're posted. Bad habit, heh.

Holy shit, if Nintendo wasn't so good this would be the best developer on the Wii period.

If they keep this up, they may be rising to heaven with nintendo.

As someone who found Luminous Arc fairly good but not great, I'm tentatively hopeful this game will be as promising as it looks so far.

I'm liking the looks of this. Whomever said that this gave off a "Tri-Ace" vibe in the Famitsu thread for this week...I'm inclined to agree.

Not that the pedigree of all that are involved isn't tantalizing enough...

I'm really impressed with the visuals, but damn those character designs are god awful.

Not really understanding the character design hate. Of course, I love Eureka 7, so that could be it.

So what are we looking at for upcoming Wii RPG releases?

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Oboro Muramasa Yōtōden
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - The Crystal Bearers
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon
Rune Factory Frontier
Fragile: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
Arc Rise Fantasia
Little King's Story

And the only ones released have been

Opoona
Baroque
Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

Things are looking *so* much better here on out.

Oboro, Crystal Bearers and Fragile are vaporware though. :(

I don't think Oboro is anymore- its listed in MMV's financials and a website is "coming soon"

Didn't the MLAAK team say at GDC during the Crystal Tools thing that Crystal Bearers is still in production?

That website has been up for months.

It is still being planned for this FY though, I think it's too quick to call it or Fragile vapourware.

Crystal Bearers should be removed IMO. If it does surface, its probably going to be something completely different anyways.

It's never too EARLY to call something vaporware. Until a game is proven to be actually coming out or in a stage of development that we have a good idea of what it's like, it's vaporware. Crisis Core was vaporware for years, but eventually it became a real game! It happens.
