I don't understand why race gets brought into every discussion related to something being negative toward Islam. Regardless if you agree with assholes provoking people or not race has nothing to do with this.

To disregard the obvious fact due to semantic word play that the word "Muslims" has certain racial characteristics attributed to it by a great number of people is, I personally think, ignorant.

"I have made no threats."
"This is not an Anti Islam Rally"
"I admit that what I'm doing is stupid but so is stomping on the American flag and I support their rights and freedom to do so"
"President Obama said "The future must not belong to those who insult Islam." I am asking him to change his statement to The future must belong to those who have the FREEDOM to insult Islam if they want.""

So he says he's not Anti Islamic yet there's a picture of him wearing a shirt saying "Fuck Islam" and also wants FREEDOM to insult Islam. He also thinks bringing guns to the protest and posting a picture of him holding one while wearing body armour isn't threatening?

This guy doesn't even know what he's talking about.

On the subject of bikers. I saw a biker today with these huge ass handlebars on his bike, I mean the guy could barely reach them. I don't get it can somebody please explain the point of it to me.cause it looks really stupid and seems really unsafe.

It looks kinda like this only even a little higher:

"I wanna look like a tiny, little kid joy-riding a grown man's vehicle."

Yeah, never got it either.

I used to live in Tempe and I really can't say I'm surprised. Really a fucking stretch to classify it as free speech since it's a bunch of certainly almost all white people armed with guns standing in front of a minority place of worship to antagonize and intimidate, hoping to inspire fear and infringing on their right to free speech.

And to be frank, all you need is one emboldened asshole to snap and shoot someone out of racist paranoia I wouldn't be surprised if something terrible happens, not that this "protest" isn't already.

The same reason people put 32" spinners on their SUV, raise their vehicle over a foot (or drop it down so the wheel almost touches the body, roll coal, etc.

A bunch of armed bikers in front of a minority's* place of worship already sends a "your kind is not welcome in our country" message, whether they're actively taunting the people of the minority or not. These people are bad news on the best of days.

And besides, I bet they wouldn't be nearly as peaceful as they demand from the other side if someone were to hurl insults at them.

But well, the USA has specifically decided that there are no limits to free speech unless porn is involved so that's their lot.

*=Yes, globally Muslims aren't that minor but in the countries where this happens they are.

Man, a simple phrase like Freedom of Speech has been poisoned to the point that everytime someone brings it up theres probably gonna be some fucked up bigot shit coming.

Terrorist training center?

Mosques. You have to keep up Aceofspades. Start watching Fox News or Bill Maher to get informed about the insidious nature of Islam and how all Muslims are the fifth column that will lead to the downfall of civilization.

How would they like it if a bunch of Muslims stood outside wherever these idiots congregate, armed with guns?

Naturally, they would be alarmed and concerned and demand that a law be passed to bar such threatening activities.

Islam hate is wrong and all, but I don't see anything wrong with making a very public protest against Islamic extremists attacking people for drawing their prophet. I don't really care if the protest offends people. People are being and have been murdered over cartoon drawings.

And I don't really blame them for being armed.

Ape hangers are less tiring than traditional bars for some people. Can't lean on them as much.

Please, this is nothing but provocation.

Hey! That's a good idea, organize a nude drawing contest! PreferablyI depicting interracial couples!

The place will be empty before the first bonehead finishes its drawing.

Provocation is fine. I don't like the WBC but what they do is protected the same as my rights. The armed part is what's over the top. Pure intimidation.
Let me be more blunt. These people are looking to shoot Muslims.

Well if you have assholes protesting on funreals you also have to tolerate drawing cartoons.
Pretty simple

The entire mosque and congregation is not tolerating those cartoons. TWO people reacted that way. TWO people. So let's stand outside a mosque with assasult rifles, long rifles, and handguns in the name of free speech.

There's a difference between free speech and intimidation/provocation.

And it's great with the recent news of these biker gang shootouts. Yeah, these groups are great! I'm going to protest biker gang violence!

Dude is a self-proclaimed "anti-Islam activist" and is actively recruiting armed thugs. He's as much of a genuine protester as the Black Bloc.

So you think they want to be shot at? Tell me, how does one protest these killings?
No, I think they want someone to approach them so they can use the bullshit Stand Your Ground law and claim they "feared for their lives" and shoot them.

So you think they're fishing to legally murder somebody? That's a pretty severe and wild assumption.

Yeah, can't imagine where I'd get an idea like that.

What the fuck else do you think they're doing standing there with guns then? If they want to protest the Texas situation they could do so in a much less incensed manner.

So are radical islamic demonstrations from salafists that threaten to kill everyone be it in the us or eu or all around the world but guess what freespeech/fear works for them but should not work for anyone drawing shit? yeah how about no?

Free speech is an absolutely wonderful concept and for the most part, it's used appropriately and with good intentions.

Unfortunately, people like these bikers and the Westboro Baptist Church completely abuse the intention behind it. They are both inciting violence and once that happens, their right to speak freely in that manner should be quashed. Disperse them and send them on their way.

No right, no matter how important, should be limited when it infringes upon other people's right to live peacefully.

I'm not going to say that their idea is the best solution, but seeing what happened right right, right where I live in Texas, at the very same center where I and several members of my family had graduation ceremonies, I don't think "Well we should probably arm ourselves during this protest." is a bad idea. People seem to have this attitude that legally carrying a gun suddenly makes you in the wrong or something.

I would agree that they are, they are going to antagonise the muslims because of their free speech and are hoping someone steps forward etc. why would they bring weapons to what should be a "peaceful rally"

Want to show me these kill everyone protests here in the US?

This is just an incitement of religious hatred. This isn't about free speech, it is deliberate provocation and intimidation. It's like me holding a Holocaust denial rally outside a synagogue. Legally an expression of free speech but obviously an asshole move with a deliberate attempt to cause offence and/or incite an angry or violent backlash. Also people bringing up Westboro's protests as a reason to allow this, really?

No false pretences here. These fuckers are looking for any excuse to use their guns and shoot some Muslims.
