Anybody else missing the Secrets of the first Pyramids DLC? I got the Gold Edition but no code.
Contacted Ubi and was told it was only available through digital pre-order or directly from the Ubishop?
Well as far I was aware it came with every pre-order.My pre-order copy from amazon.ca had it so that last bit isn't true.
Because of the current AC hype, I've just started AC Syndicate for the first time (bought it a while ago, but never found the time to play it...).
I've been playing for about 3 hours, and I'm already bored to death. Right now I have to 'conquer' boroughs by doing very boring, repetitive tasks like following someone, abduct someone, etc. It feels more like doing chores than having fun.
And the most obnoxious thing of all is that you have to watch out for those red enemies all the fucking time, so you just can't casually walk through the city to enjoy the scenery.
Argh!
Is Origins anything like that, or has it more meaningful gameplay elements?
OK, I'm playing with minimal HUD and think I missed something. Why are some guards attacking me just walking round Siwa? Is it like Syndicate where they attack on sight? It's annoying as it's not always but I'm not sure if it's area related or they just haven't seen me. My own fault for going straight to minimal HUD and missing all the tips I guess.

You did miss something. Bayek is an enemy of the state in that area, if you wander around in his default Medjay gear on the main roads expect to be bothered. As soon as you change your clothes to something less conspicuous, they should stop harassing you.
So beat the game last night.. I'd probably say a solid 7.5 for me. The gameplay was actually quite refreshing and fit the setting very nicely. The story though was a little more of a let down for me.
Continued in Spoilers:
With Aya seeming to be the "real" first assassin, seems weird in retrospec playing as Bayek. Especially given this is brought up to be the "Origins of the Assassins".
Which is technically was, you weren't really the reason for it, you were kind of just along for the ride kind of thing.
Also big things like the hidden blade and the leap of faith were just quickly glossed over in a minute with no history or backstory at all. These are HUGE things in the Assassins lore!
And the missing finger. Really? Why did the lady at the end need to cut of her finger?
To show her dedication? Even Bayak seemed reluctant. Even more so knowing,
as a player, the Assassins eventually stop doing it.
Really the last 1-2hrs were my favorite story-wise. I just wish they multiplied it throughout the story more.
I sitll got maybe 15ish side quests left to do plus the Area and Racing so looking forward to that and the DLC in January!

That amazing black hound costume we get early on

Defeated my first Phylakes, wasn't easy.
is it confirmed now that
Watch Dogs is in the same universe as Assassins Creed?

In the meantime, loving it so far. Looks incredible. Some Gifs:
Definitely the prettiest AC I've played.
P.S. I don't know how to downsize the images, pls don't hurt me.
Haven't been this taken by a game world since witcher 3, and before that skyrim. Lots to explore and it looks amazing.
Oh, for sure. I mean, it's definitely not on the same level as The Witcher 3 in terms of side-content quality wise but that's not to say it isn't good. The side content is arguably the best in any AC game so far and is certainly expansive; tons to do. I'm about 27 hours in, and I don't think I'm half way through the story, so they've definitely upped their game from Unity and Syndicate. I'm preferring this title to Black Flag as well.
The formula here just really works for AC and I hope they continue to refine it. Wonder if we'll see another AC game as soon as next year since that team would also have had another year to work on their game.

Nice shots !
Just got to. This game just keeps getting better. How awesome is this world! Having such a huge interest in this period of time, I find myself being almost overwhelmed with everything. Their is a huge amount of details here. Good job Ubisoft, greatest game off all time for me. So glad I bought the Gods edition.Alexandria
Yes, I agree the hidden blade should have been a much bigger deal, not just something Aya hands you and says, hey let's use this. And yeah, the leap of faith, I hadn't thought of that, but you're right. We should have had a cutscenes where they had to jump or something. I also agree with your points on Aya. We did play as her at times, but only at times. The game is basically 85% Bayak, 10% Aya and 5% Layla.
As for the finger though, in the first AC, Atleir has to cut his off and is told all assasins have to do that. In 2, Ezio is given a special modified blade so they no longer need to cut off his finger. So they did a good job giving us the back story on that part.
Since the recent update for the Trial of the Gods on my ps4...I get a huge pop up each time I pause, open menu ect...and it does it every time. Anyone else getting this, and is there a way I can get it to stop? It is REALLY annoying.
I see nothing like that. What exactly did they downgrade?1.04 messed up the game in different ways on PS4, specially they downgraded the graphics. I can notice it big time.
