Thanks, champ. God forbid we get traffic for the work it took to put this story together.

I doubt EA would even want the license.
They get full revenue from Battlefield. Why put DICE on a shared revenue game?
WutThis game is exactly how I imagined Star Wars Galaxies would've been like.. :/
You know, the community could finish a battlefront 3 project. I think theres enough demand for it.
Combat-wise... I just imagined these epic fights in vehicles with other people online. I was a bit naive when it came to MMOs back then lol
Does anyone know why they decided to shut down Lucasarts? It just seems like such an oddball idea.
Unless... they secretly rehired them all and formed an black studio and are making a new Battlefront game in secret and occasionally, they'll leak material to see what the world thinks.
Just watched the footage. Looked surprisingly fun and solid.
Really makes me curious why this wasn't released? Did the previous battlefronts fail sales wise?
Really makes me wonder if somehow this can be completed via kickstarter? Because we definitely need more games like this.
Ok lol I kinda did the same.Combat-wise... I just imagined these epic fights in vehicles with other people online. I was a bit naive when it came to MMOs back then lol
Six months later, Disney shut down LucasArts. All games in production were cancelled.
Why is it so hard to give the people what they actually want?
This x9999999.
Battlefront III is pretty much a guaranteed success, whether it's XBLA/PSN-based or a fully-fledged title.
Same goes for TimeSplitters 4. God knows why these two franchises didn't make the jump across generations.
It would also sell so well. I can't see how it's not a win win scenarioWhy is it so hard to give the people what they actually want?
I think we need to put serious Internet pressure on Disney to liscense battlefront to a top tier developer.
Is it just me or has Kotaku been delivering some really solid content these past few weeks/months?

Agreed
This sort of reporting/ journalism is what I like the most
Can they transfer all the game assets etc to the potential licensee?
