I'm a big fan of Gimmick's OST too! Sunsoft music for the NES was always top tier (The DPCM bass is so good).
This cover uses the same expansion chip as Gimmick does (Sunsoft 5B). I really think they get the style down well here!

Sabrepulse is pretty awesome.
Most of his albums are pure chiptune, but some of his stuff is a blend of other electronica with some chiptune sprinkled in.

While most of their album material is really just alternative power metal (really fucking good power metal mind you) that happens to have chiptunes in it which are lovingly executed, much of their non-album material, particularly the early stuff, fits the bill as chiptune metal, most notably using C64 SID tunes. They did the OST for Jets 'n' Guns which was fucking amazing.
