He's cool n' all but he's too racist for me...and i'm black and i love racial humor. But sometimes he's just cold...especially live. Has you lookin' over your shoulder lookin' for white people.

I'm white as a bag of flour and I think it's fucking hilarious.

Has anyone even said Richard Pryor yet? Ok, thank god for tobor.

I don't get all the love for Jim Gaffigan. That stupid voice he does in every bit gets old fast.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Nick Swardson. His second album is pretty awesome.

haha, I love watching Comedy Central Presents. Most of the good ones have already been mentioned. I didnt see this guy mentioned yet, and I find him pretty funny:

Eddie Murphy above and beyond everyone else, then:

Dave Chappelle
Sam Kinison (can't believe it took this long for someone to mention him - he's one of the GOATs)
Steven Wright
Chris Rock
Woody Allen
Sinbad
Sarah Silverman
Bob Newhart
Richard Pryor

Right now I'm enjoying Aziz Ansari - but I have the feeling he's a flash in the pan

I hope that's not in order...Because if you have Sinbad and Sarah Silverman over Richard Pryor...

it was in order at first, then i realized i forgot Newhart and Pryor so I just tacked them on at the end

also - this isn't who i think is the best - because i think it's pretty indisputable that Pryor is truly the greatest - just who i enjoy the most. also, any list without Lenny Bruce is a list of favorites, not of the greatest.

Nobody said Dave Attell?

Wow.

Anyway, Dave Attell, Eddie Izzard, Patton Oswalt, Daniel Tosh, Mitch Fatel currently.

My faves of all time are Brian Regan, David Cross, Louis C K, Bill Cosby Himself and previous albums, Carlin's 70's and early 80's albums before he turned into a guy who reads off lists, Lewis Black, Dennis Wolfberg (Gooshie from Quantum Leap, yeah), Eddie Murphy when he was white hot, and Bill Hicks.

JFC forgot Bob Newhart, Lenny Bruce, too. Shame on me.

I've been consuming a ton of comedy podcasts, can I tack them on in here?

Stop Podcasting Yourself and Superego are awesome.

The ultimate song about loneliness, love and loss
Part Troll and Cosmic Jam are two of my favorite stand-up of his, well worth the time if you manage to locate 'em on the web.

Louis C.K. without a doubt.

Horatio Sanz was scheduled to do a show in Carrboro, NC, but had to bow out late due to health issues. Louis C.K. flew down on very short notice, did a set that included a good bit of new material, and generally just saved the day with a fantastic show.

Patton Oswalt is right up there, and Werewolves and Lollipops is the rare comedy album that holds up to lots of repeat listening.

Carlos Mencia should be in those list ^ somewhere, methinks.
I'm not sure if that's a joke or not. I thought it was fairly well-known at this point that Carlos Mencia steals a lot of his material.

Regardless, I've never found him to be all that funny.

Mitch Hedberg is probably my #1.
"I was gonna stay overnight at my friend's house, he said 'You're gonna have'ta sleep on the floor...' damn gravity, got me again. You don't know how bad I want to sleep on the wall."

Louis C.K. is great, but sometimes his routines rely on shock humor / crude jokes too much.

Must have missed that, not very well versed I guess...

Eddie Griffin, Mitch Hedberg, Chris Rock are up there for me.

But hands down, no contest Dave Chappelle.

Steven Wright
-Absolutely love his sense of humor, I loved how my old Agendas from school had many quotes from him, made me look him up

Lewis Black
-Went to one of his shows when he came to our city, and no one big usually comes this way, his show was the funniest and most fun night I have ever had

Sam Kinnison
- The Married With Children episode introduced him to me, wasn't until much later that I looked up his stuff, wished he was till around :(

Mitch Hedberg will always be my favorite. "I haven't slept for 10 days... because that would be too long."

So fucking obvious yet so clever and the delivery is perfect.

Eddie Izzard is probably my second favorite. Gotta love a comedian that demands that you pay attention to everything he says or you will be lost for like 30 minutes until he somehow doubles back to his original thread after going off on whimsical tangents.

Couldn't say who my favorite is, but it's probably one of the following:

Paul F. Tompkins
Zach Galifianakis
Aziz Ansari
Eugene Mirman
Patton Oswalt

snesfreak

Banned
Dave Chappelle
George Carlin
Eddie Murphy
Richard Pryor
Bill Hicks
Chris Rock
Mitch Hedberg

And as a Community fan, Donald Glover.

There's probably more but I'm tired so I don't feel like trying to remember them.
