Well considering that all the open Programmer jobs want people who have "previous professional experience with game development for PC and consoles such as PS3 or Xbox 360", I think it's a safe bet.

I don't really see how that's good evidence. They'd say that if it was a current gen game or a next gen game. No one has experience on the next consoles yet. What would they say? "previous professional experience with game development for PC and consoles such as PS4 or Xbox 720"?

Metal Gear has & always been about a robotic nuclear weapon, big boss & solid snake...or father & son which alot of people didn't get in MGS4, they just cried cuz they didn't get what they wanted while totally missing THE BIG PICTURE.

Ah someone else had the same thoughts as me, that's great. Gotta say, just from the art work alone I'm very excited to see what MGS5 is. MGS4 was a complete mess with *some* good aspects imo, though after Peace Walker Kojima returned somewhat back to form. Somewhat...

Anyways, MGS1 is my favourite game of all time, so if it's closer to that feel then I'll probably explode.

in my mind, unless we're gonna go back to the well with Big Boss and his transition (PW, PO etc did some of this, but much of the foundation can be found in 3's ending alone), that's pretty much the only story we've got left to tell in MGS' past, unless you really wanna dig deep and go pre-3 and play as the Boss recruiting her team.
We now know why he did it (founding Outer Heaven, fronting with Foxhound etc), the how is left - and like you basically said, rookie snake training under Grey Fox/etc.

They're probably just now finishing the work on Fox Engine so now they're working on an actual game using it. Very disappointing for sure. This will obviously be a next-gen game but with Vita support probably.

The original Sean Connery Big Boss mugshot from MG2 was changed to match his real design in the PS2 version of MG2. Snake was also changed to his MGS1 design.

They both look pretty similar to this new Shinkawa art.

Being a multi-plat wouldn't necessarily make it a bad game. It's the parity between platforms I'd be more concerned about. Hope neither console version gets shafted. Obviously, the PC version will look better, but that's not really worth mentioning.

I can only tell them by the chair shadow in pic 2 and 3, I cant tell which pic 1 is the render since the shadow is not too apparent.

Sounds like you're looking at the wrong places. Just look on the wall for any of the pics. It's pretty much impossible not to be able to tell which is the one with crappy bitmap posters on the wall with a ton of jaggies.
