Yep
Nah, not every time. Its random.
Well in order to test pop in, I have to be away from that area, then go into it as it loads. If you mingle around there, and go to the tree it will be loaded into the memory already. So what I do is, start at Romans house, die via police right there and it'll warp me to the hospital. Once there, I steal a car and head left. Take another left past the pine tree and you are on the proper road. Then haul ass down it and you'll meet the tree.
Usually when I steal a car at the hospital the cops are on me. Ill try to do it without though, Still at work, will be back in 1 hour.
The video is uploading now. Both versions have FPS issues (not full 30). Its really apparent if you go frame by frame when Niko is in first person view inside Romans apartment. Both versions drop frames there.
Thanks for the heads up because I would've probably ended up being way too close to the vicinity of the tree and as a result screwed with the test so I'll make sure to be a good long distance away from it then come at it like a bat out of hell
Plus the way I usually drive in GTA games there is a good chance by the time I even get to the tree it will have already loaded. I've never liked smashing up my cars in GTA games unless I truly had to. I'll more try to drive fast when I can, but avoid hitting pedestrians or crashing into stuff. Makes the game feel that much more legit to me to know that I just stole a car and I'm doing the intelligent thing by not making myself stand out too much. Just my style of playing GTA
In regards to the hospital one, when I really stop to think about it, that shouldn't even matter to us. It does nothing to hurt the overall game experience if it should pop up now and then. Sure we'd all like for such a thing not to happen at all, but nothing can be perfect. This is still one of the best games I've ever had the pleasure of playing.
I don't know if I would say that there is more advanced lighting on the ps3 build because I think that's just a result of the different color schemes for the most part. It's a similar situation when they were showing Niko's face about 53-57 seconds in and it's even more obvious at around 1 minute in.
On the 360 side his skin color looked more white or pale, but on the ps3 side it had this yellowish look to it. There was more intense color to his face on the ps3 side than there was on the 360 side and notice the part where Roman gets the call from vlad you see yet again that same yellowish look that was showing up on Niko's face carrying over to Roman's shirt. Around 53-57 you'll see glimpses of roman's shirt as he's lying down on the bed and on the ps3 side you'll notice the more yellowish tone to the shirt whereas on the 360 it looks more gray or something. Tough to nail down sometimes, but I think that's definitely what it is.
The PS3 seems to have a yellowish filter whereas the 360 seems to have something that might seem more balanced depending on how you look at it.
Either way both versions look stunning because when either is being ran on your HDTV the lighting looks so vastly superior than it would otherwise in a lot of the direct feed vids we've been seen on the internet.
DMC4, for example, looked pretty flat lighting wise from direct feeds on say a site like gametrailers, but then it looks amazing lighting wise when you play it on a hdtv.
Both versions look kickass though. People that don't have it yet, don't judge GTA based on any direct feed. Get the game in front of you on a kickass HDTV and look on in amazement.
Keep up the awesome work you guys. You're doing a great job of letting people see the different looks of both versions, but either way everyone gets to see both games look fantastic.
