In the spirit of good news and to bring a bit of awareness to the subject here: A UN committee is urging the government to pay reparations for slavery. Although I think it should be for the other issues that took place after slavery, including some of the events mentioned on this site.

I remember when I went to the slavery section of a museum. That shit was hard, especially when we went into a recreation of a slave ship.
