I've hosted two northern meets (Newcastle and Manchester) but as Mikeside and BGBW said it was mainly/entirely Londonians who showed up.

Video games are quite a recent development up Norf.

and Manchester also officially has the largest video game arcade in Europe...according to their facebook page. Would love to check this place out someday.
