The Switch has the potential to be a great indie machine.

January 2017 Still waiting for Legend of Raven.
More retail games and they'll definitely be bought!
- edit -
Multiple users on one device also confirmed with the "change user" bit
It's nicalis though, so should we expect these games sometime around Q4 2018?
It looks good there on the handheld but that'd look more barren than clean on my 55".Ohh so you can even change color backgrounds?? Nice! Really loving this new UI. So nice and and clean.

it could be just a system notification
If pressing y changes user, wouldn't that suggest that the icons on the top left are actually a friends list rather than a list of user accounts?
More realistically, it's for changing users on the same console. I don't really get why the 'change user' feature is so prominent on the screen though?
Edit: Especially since there is only one user shown at the top!
So it looks like there is multitasking task. He is playing 1001 spikes at that moment.
Shame the system doesnt seem to have any real reason to multitask.
At first I wanted to say how awful that game would be without a d-pad but then I remembered I played through the game on Xbox 360 when it came out originally.
Unlike most platformers, SMB is great with a stick. It utilizes multiple degrees when calculating trajectory and momentum and so on
Okay, seriously now - with all we now with those 2 screens floating around, it makes no sense for the system to have 'change user' on there so prominently when the top left shows only one user!
This is what the other screen looks like. We have 3 users in the top left. What are those 3 users, if not available accounts on one console? Connected accounts through local play? Your party for online play?
Check out those black joy-cons!? This must be a dev-kit.
Yeah i'm currently playing through SMB on the PS4 at the moment, controls great. I do think there will be a d-pad joy con at some point (which should be really cheap considering they have no tech)
That's what I'm hoping for.The Switch has the potential to be a great indie machine.
Nintendo charge $50 for a single joycon irrespective of if it's right or left, i cant see them charging less for one with a dpad
Around 2021-2022 for Europe
I expect them to release different types of joy cons - like arcade - gameboy- snes etc. These ones should be relatively cheap.
C'mon, DetectiveGAF: what's the fourth icon on the right?
You can change the user, game changer!
Controller pairing.
Can't wait to play a bunch of indies on a console with the portability of a handheld.
what makes them expensive is the gyro, accelerometer, and hd rumble and I would expect all joycons to have that in them. expect to shell out $50 for a joycon with a proper dpad.
