The fact that they chose to not show the main selling point of the game at E3 a few months before launch does not inspire a lot of hope.
Yup.

Because people dont want a online only SP.
Guys, stop freaking out. As they've stated, that was SP gameplay footage. They just said the destruction is still in for multiplayer as it has always been.
Sign in to online servers for destruction, otherwise there is none. Simple.

Loftis reaffirms destruction still coming
Though I'm definitely worried they showed that instead of MP destruction.
MP isnt the best to show imo on stage. Hopefully we see it now after the show on the floor etc.
Anthem? Sea of Thieves?MP isnt the best to show imo on stage. Hopefully we see it now after the show on the floor etc.
Haha no way is destruction going to be anything worth a damn now. If they had it working it would have been shown. Anyone thinking otherwise is in denial.
If they do have destruction, it will probably be a few set pieces in each area that fall down the same way everytime like no dynamic destruction.

But why? Why not show that on stage? Why not have destruction in SP? WHY?
That was just a campaign trailer. We've known from the start that cloud destruction is multiplayer only.
Besides, wasn't that footage clearly from multiplayer? Like it showed multiple characters and was constantly jumping between them. I thought coop was to have all the destruction.
Mmmhmm.Shocking that they would rather invest in this over the clearly superior Sunset Overdrive.
Guys, no matter if the destruction is "still in but only MP" or whatever, let's even forget the destruction for the sake of the argument : this was still a terrible showing.
It was boring as hell and didn't look good. Where the hell was the gameplay demo.
The only thing they had was this terrible trailer that was made by people who had no idea what to showcase about crackdown, or (worst case scenario) who couldn't do any better because that's all there is to the game.
But why? Why not show that on stage? Why not have destruction in SP? WHY?
It's gonna be a sad day when RF: Guerilla has better destruction tech.
So did Crackdown 3 lose all the destruction they were touting before? It was nowhere to be found in the trailer.
OhSumo Digital was always there. They were co-developing the game with a few other developers.
Gamify it. Make story buildings rebuild after a short amount of time or as the mission starts. That's hardly game breaking. With the destruction in SP it could be game breaking with what narrative they wanna put out. With MP they can make it a sandbox where you and 3 friends and go crazy.
There is logic to having that be MP.
It makes no sense to only show the campaign. I mean yes it's nice to know it exists, but they'd have to be seriously out of touch to think people wanted to see anything other than the destruction.
Crackdown 4Remember that video of the building falling over? What happened to...anything at all like that?
This one:

Eh this is the first time they showing the game after a along time which destruction is a big part of ,I see why people are spectacle.Pretty much this.
The freakouts are fun to read though.
