Is this Fincher's version of mending his relationship with Paramount after TGWTDT?
I dunno if it's that so much as the new CEO of Paramount being the ex-head of Fox? Wasn't Gone Girl at Fox too?

Are the zombies even a threat anymore considering how the first movie ended?
This is pretty exciting because there is no way Fincher would sign on unless he gets absolute creative control of it. A big budget Fincher zombie film will be quite the sight.
Does Act 3 make you thirsty for a Pepsi? That's an interesting choice, and even more interesting that he's interested in it.
I still enjoy the first one, I like how all 3 acts are different. Act 3 is aces, so good.
Can't be any worse than the first one, which was a miserable pile of shit
Fincher, just gimme the story of Kondo Tatsumi and I'm good.
Of all the things Fincher could be doing.
Why
Money? Leverage?
Awesome out of nowhere surprise, loved the first film
It's World War ZZ, or Double Z. Don't you watch anime?
Of all the things Fincher could be doing.
Why. Is this the first sequel and mainstream blockbuster he'll have done?
I'm not sure these things have ever been primary motivating factors for Fincher's work. Not that he doesn't care about money of course, but he spends time on projects which interest him.

But cast Christian Bale

Does Alien 3 count?
Ah... speaking of zombie movies. Everyone should check out train to busan. That shit was solid.
Money? Leverage?
We also got Mindhunter coming later this year on Netflix.By the time it comes out in 2019 I guess it will be Fincher's first movie in five years.
why
why is this dude wasting his like with this shit
We also got Mindhunter coming later this year on Netflix.
*shrug*But that's TV.
I wanna ask why the fuck Fincher is wasting his time with this, but then I wonder what the fuck could be so appealing about the project to Fincher for him to consider it.
Im wagering there wont be a "2" in the movie's title
After finally watching it after hearing all the hype, I didn't see the appeal. Movie is sentimental as fuck, none of the characters are particularly dynamic or interesting, and the zombie action was just okay.
But yeah: sentimental. as. fuck.
