It's definitely worth discovering. You only need to be 280 for Normal mode but it can be tricky to find groups for it, since most people around here skip right on to Hard (recommended Light 300).

Work on those Quests! Some good rewards in the Taken Wars quests, like a super well-rolled 1,000 Yard Stare (Sniper) and a 300 attack Conspiracy Theory shotgun.

So I used No Land Beyond in the Nightfall yesterday, and I could be wrong, but I don't think it was getting a damage buff from 'specialist' like it did in year one. In fact it felt less powerful than normal, so I'm pretty sure it was being treated as a primary. That sucks. The funnest thing about that modifier in year one was using Mythoclast, Universal Remote, and No Land Beyond.

I'm 5/6 and got a 320 helmet once. Still got one more shot at it this week. RNG is a fickle thing my friend.

I'm also 6/6 on Warpriest challenge with zero 320 specials to show for it. That's the only thing keeping me from being 320 right now.

I'm surprised you don't have flawless raider already. I'm trying to max out my grimoire before Destiny drops any new content. Also I heard real good things about Dragon's Dogma, enjoy those games

Yea I'm like 15% completed with The Witcher 3 and I want to beat Journey also just to see the hype. And believe in Destiny 2!

yeah, you just need the first 100%, not the complete capture.

You can finish this one in one sitting! Despite it's lack of depth, I quite enjoyed the premise of the game, and I hope we get a sequel for it. I think the world deserves another chance.

I've completed Arkham Knight, but I haven't jumped into any of the DLC yet. One day I'll do that, but it is not this day. Most of my time away from Destiny is spent with GTA Online, Minecraft, Battlefront & Battlefield 4. I bought Elder Scrolls Online last night, so I'm going to binge that this weekend.

Unrelated, but I hope that with the release of Destiny 2, Bungie builds some kind of account system that would allow players to bring their characters across platforms. I really hope they stay away from the PS3 & Xbox 360 with the new game, but it's also unfair that those players would have to start over.

Also, from Bungie on Twitter yesterday. I didn't see this until now.

The Bungie Weekly Update will return on 1/21. Not a major reveal, but a preview of our February Update. More to come...

Up for some salvage runs on Sat night (8pm GMT). After that it'll be all day Monday before I'm next on to smash out some wins.

I need about 65 more wins

I think you actually have to capture the relic and then successfully defend it to get the big points in the mode...so I think using "capture" is technically correct albeit confusing...

Finally have gotten a couple 320 primary weapons from CM Oryx.

Thanks to Iceman, Truelize, DMH, MisterThirsty and Zoso for letting me tag a long and putting up with my not so great initial performance.

yes, you're correct in regard to the game type, but he just wants the trigger for the trophy count. :)

Holy shit HoW was crucible golden age.

Brought out my slip n slide Y1 Party Crasher, my god roll Ash Factory and Thorn.

This loadout is unparalleled geez. Why did I ever pick up a Conspiracy Theory? One-shot range is so much more consistent with my old Felwinter's or PC.

It looks like all of crucible is going to need to be light level based to avoid Y1 weapons dominating again

Kind of an interesting list actually, and could explain why some of the "RPGness" that lots of us really like are not the strongest features.

Ever think that Destiny has the legs it does because while it will get the "Bro" purchase early on being an FPS, it really needles the MMO/RPGer players OCD with grind, loot and drops? And...those folks being who they are obsessive over getting everything with optimal builds? From what I have seen, there has been little cross over from say the CoD crowd and the Destiny crowd. Not that you pick one or the other, but the games cater to different audiences.

Just a thought.

No fun allowed. I still have my first legendary weapon and VoG CE weapon set. Armor too as well as my ToO and IB but I'm going to delete them since they give so little Int/Dis/Str

So.... anyone doing Trials today? Might be doing some house stuff for awhile but definitely down for some runs at some point. Still the only part of Destiny I actually want to play.

Played through Her Story with the Mrs. last couple days, had a ton of fun. It's a great co-op game and I always love when she gets even more into a game than I do.

Afaik now I should be able to make that. Typically Flawless CE runs took 30-90 minutes, usually closer to ~45. Haven't done any in Year 2 though so I dunno how much easier it might be.

Yesterday, on two occasions, I encountered floating dead bodies on Pantheon. One stuck upside down, one stuck on the wall. I also saw people die while still having red bar.

......The hell is going on with online pvp right now?

Ran it yesterday as a refresher. Took no more than 30 mins with people trying it for their first time. We'll all be super OP with our light levels.

Nice! I also have plans to play that with the gf, along with this game called Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes that I hear is great for working together.
