But why not add that 3rd option if its there? If being so serious about the differences.
So basically, as soon as you do anything, the frame rate hits the low 20's. It's disappointing, but expected given the hardware I guess.
Going to have to wait for the PC version though. My PS3's bluray drive is dead. Poor little guy.
And suddenly in light of a single article, a vocal subset of the community believes that DF is actually completely professional and trustworthy. Isn't the timing on that interesting.

I wonder if an upgraded HD would help. I've got a Seagate Momentus XT (Hybrid SSD + regular, doesn't feel a ton faster). You on the stock drive?
Both versions have drops to 20 FPS and people are saying "Glad to hear both versions are good this time!"
20 FPS is shit even for consoles.... A little hesitant to actually pick that pre-order up now.

Yeah no this game runs like poop honestly, it's suprising the reviews don't mention this at all. Also the jaggies also everything, and I even got the ps3 version
It's as good as you could expect from a native 1280x720 with post process AA. How nice it looks kind of depends on your TVs scaler as well.Yeah no this game runs like poop honestly, it's suprising the reviews don't mention this at all. Ugh this verdict is so annoying, if I had more psn friends the decision would be a no brainer.
Why are you upscaling? Upscaling is balls.
I'm not upscaling, my tv is native 1080p it always upscales if shit comes in at 720p which is what gta5 is coming in at according to my display info despite my ps3 being set at 1080p.
There aren't many PS3 games at 1080p though. I don't think. My TV self adjusts to whatever come through it.
It's a 720p native game, why would you want to upscale to 1080p so that it looks blurrier. Have you unchecked 720p in video settings on the PS3?
My TV must be different then. It's 1080p native resolution too but it does not do upscaling on it's own. Whatever signal is broadcast to it is what the TV presents. My PS3 menu comes in at 1080p, but then if I play something like The Last of Us, it switches to 720p.
So if i have a 1080p 55" tv, should i change the settings on my ps3 to 720p and let the tv do the rest?
Yes I do. There may be some TVs out there that do that, but my 1080p TV doesn't.
My tv is a 2011 Samsung D7000 3dtv I think it should have a decent scaler but you never know. It just looks so jaggy messy and honestly almost looks worse than RDR/GTA IV, I did play those on xbox360 so my televisions scaler didn't touch them but since the xbox360 scaler is nothing to write home about apparently this game just looks and runs bad.
Yeah this is where I am currently. It's like, there's no way I want to pick the shitty 360 version and deal with the double install, but I don't know about playing it on PS3 and not having anyone in particular to play with on October 1st. Plus not having a headset for PS3...
Those of you who are complaining about how this game looks on both consoles, would you be willing to enlighten us as to what you were expecting from these ancient systems?
Quite a bit, yea. But you'll still spend more of your time not blowing stuff up.Go to 2:20 in the video. Watch the scene. When the action actually starts the 360 drops as low as 18 FPS. If your GTA game play is anything like mine, then you will be experiencing quite a bit of that type of action.

Looks like PS3 version comes out on top. Just goes to show how, with Cell development experience, the PS3 can overcome the Xbox 360s GPU advantage.
I think that word is a bit more fitting being used as a descriptor for something like..... the Virtual Boy.Too little too late, but yeah. We've known this. Shitty vRAM and high price resulting in shitty install base are what doomed the PS3 in hindsight, not the architecture per se.

It's close enough that I don't mind. I have way more friends on the 360 and I prefer it strongly for online games anyway.
Gonna have to stick to the 360 for this one.
PSN version: any notable difference? Anyone else reporting on that yet?
It looks much, much, much worse than the trailers in both image quality and performance.

20fps? Sometimes less (and much less) when there's action?
God fucking damn it.
