Bethesda REALLY likes the Switch don't they? I seem to remember Todd Howard gushing over it pre-release more than almost any other dev.
To be honest, with all these tricks developers are using to get around the cartridge limitations, the Switch may as well be a digital only system for most people. Which I'm sure many wouldn't have a problem with as long as they have a big enough SD Card.
either they have mega faith in the Switch or Nintendo is doing their part in making Bethesda want to support it. Probably both.Bethesda REALLY likes the Switch don't they? I seem to remember Todd Howard gushing over it pre-release more than almost any other dev.
I just think it's funny they're going to be selling a cart with only the single-player on it but people will still be paying for the multi-player portion they don't want anyways.
The multiplayer is better than you might think. Devs gave it a ton of support, ton of modes & content. Core loop is fun.
Lol, would never imagined people requesting to remove MP from their DOOM copy
Anything about a price yet? This would be my first time playing the new Doom but I'd rather not pay $79.99 CDN for it.
I expect $60The game has been pretty cheap for about a year now on other consoles. $30 and even cheaper on sale. I hope they don't try to charge more for the Switch version.
I thought the Doom MP was fun. I guess no one likes Unreal Tournament/Quake style MP.

I never tried the MP in any version of Doom. To me they are single player games.Lol, would never imagined people requesting to remove MP from their DOOM copy
the separation is fine, but uh, its straight up missing one of the games biggest features?

but im not talking about the multiplayer per se, snapmap is really fucking coolEvery award granted to DOOM last year was based on its fun-as-hell single player campaign. Nobody is praising it for the multiplayer.
15 years from now, the multiplayer servers will be down and you'd have a useless cart.
This is really the best way to handle it.
Huh. Guess they were able to fit it all in a cartridge after all. I wish they would do something these 50+ gigs over on the other consoles...
Is Doom going to be the first Multiplayer FPS on the Switch?
Trust me, you want the thing that requires the servers to be the required download, not the single-player content.I wish it was reversed. If I choose to download it I would prefer to download only the campaign unless I choose to also download multiplayer. If I have the cartridge I would expect everything to be on it.
Except, for, you know... the single player portion.
Payday 2 could beat it to the punch. Is Doom going to be the first online Multiplayer FPS on the Switch?
All signs are pointing to Skyrim being a gigantic holiday release for them.
DOOM 2016 but portable and with an optional multiplayer installment? Did... did the Switch just get the definitive version of DOOM?
