Nothing to post, really. Default ini, but I turned off all AA, it only made Bresha look worse in my opinion. So it's the default 4k.
I bound F12 to my R2 button now, to not miss any good shot.

That's what I did as well. The game stays stable at 30 as well for me...BTW, there's still no fix for the fucked up DOF?

No, Durante's fix is basically still in the first prealpha version, and the guy had to work today, so he got no work done. I'm glad he was able to push one out before going to bed!

My Internal resolution won't go up at all, no matter what. The actual window is 2560 x 1440, but the image in-game is still 720p.

It's so weird, this works for me for Dark Souls 2 without a hitch.

Was there ever any fix for the issue that AMD cards had? The one where there is a rectangle in the top left corner that looks great and the rest is all blurry.

I'm not sure you got this mixed up, but it sounds like what would happen if you mixed up window and render resolution.

You have this in your main ini
Code:
# The resolution you want to downsample *to*.
# Should generally always be your output device pixel size and frequency.
# Writing something not supported by the display here will probably cause a crash.
# 0 = main monitor resolution
presentWidth 0
presentHeight 0
presentHz 60

and this in your ff13 ini
Code:
clearRenderResolutions
renderResolution 2560x1440@60

right?

Right. Exactly.

# Graphics settings

# The actual rendering resolutions you want to use,
# and how many Hz you want the game to think they work at.
# format: renderResolution [width]x[height]@[hz]
#renderResolution 3200x1800@60
renderResolution 3840x2160@120
#renderResolution 5120x2880@60
#renderResolution 7680x4320@60

# The resolution you want to downsample *to*.
# Should generally always be your output device pixel size and frequency.
# Writing something not supported by the display here will probably cause a crash.
# 0 = main monitor resolution
presentWidth 2560
presentHeight 1440
presentHz 120

If I leave them @ 0, it does not work. The game simply crashes.

See. The screenshot is my resolution. The actual size has changed.

However, if you look at the game itself - notice it's pretty much the same resolution. It's like 1280 x 720 stretched to fit 2560 x 1440, not actually 2560 x 1440. CHanging the 120 to 60hz does nothing, doesn't affect anything at all. But my monitor is 120HZ, so I set it at that. Infact, the 720p, while full of jaggies, looks much sharper. The 2560 x 1440 one looks much blurrier, I tried it with AA on, and AA off.

********I put spoiler tags around the images, but it does not appear to be hiding them*******************

I'm having this weird issue where if I have gedosato enabled, some of my menu options aren't visible. Including items, and in game settings. Anyone know why this might be?

Yes I have a 'fix' for it, but it breaks the background images for the loading screen and the datalog and possibly more. I've been holding off on releasing it for that reason. I also don't know what will happen to NVIDIA users. If you're willing to test it knowing that I can post a link to it.

Changing what 120 to 60? The one for your monitor settings, or for the ingame setting? I'm pretty sure gedosato can't force the game to 120Hz (yet), so change renderResolution 2560x1440@120 in your ff13 ini to renderResolution 2560x1440@60.

No, that does nothing at all. 120HZ is different from 120FPS. That's simply my refresh rate. 60 or 120, it doesn't change anything.

Did you examine the two screenshots, and do you agree with me that it looks like it isn't increasing the internal resolution?

It kinda looks like playing on an emulator where you set the screen resolution to yours, but don't up the internal resolution, you know? Which is why it makes me feel like something is wrong. Especially since other peoples screenshots look damn sexy.

Well here goes. This fixes the cut-off loading screen, box in the top-left for AMD users and HUD (HUD only tested on AMD hardware), but it breaks the loading screen and datalog background images and possibly more. I have no idea how it will work on NVIDIA GPU's, so feel free to try it and post about it.

Yes, I meant fps, not Hz. So I man not talking about setting your refreshrate to 60, but about changing that weird 120fps rendering you have there to 60. Still not sure that came across right.
And yes, judging by your screenshots, gedosato does work, it turns your window to you desktop resolution, it just doesn't change the rendering. Which it wouldn't with that @120.

Never played this game. Never seen a game portray "coldness" as well as those screenshots above of the frozen ice world. Makes me wanna shiver.

Very pretty btw

Changing it to 60 does nothing, doesn't affect the image quality. Infact, the game will NOT EVEN START if I put @60 in PresentHZ.

Ok, last idea I have, have you tried using renderResolution 3840x2160@60 instead of your desktop res?
That could do it, if I try 2560x1440, it looks shit as well.
The game probably doesn't like that resolution for some reason.

For some reason I don't think my screenschots look as great as others, maybe fraps pngs are just not as good. The default 4k res.

Your settings are fine, you just need some better spots/scenes. Not everything looks good.

Yes, if I set the RenderResolution to anything higher in the FFXIII config - it doesn't work.

I wonder why 2560 x 1440 is such a problem child? It's a 16:9 resolution.

It worked for me. Broken loading screens and such, but I can live with that for now.

Thanks Durante for the glorious 8K!

That looks absolutely beautiful.

Durante, I just wanted to say I really appreciate your work and I hope you stick around for a long, long time. I played this game on the PS3, but I'm actually going to replay it now and ONLY because you have put down this effort.

I just wish the money I will spend on the game goes directly to you instead, as SE clearly did a lazy port. Do you accept donations?

10240x5760 is very nice, but runs pretty awfully. However, I'm getting framerate drops at 5120x2880, from what I presume is underclocking. I'm running an R9 290, so I don't think it's struggling right now.

Thanks alot, will try it now!
Edit: like you said, it fixes the blurry image and the topleft box, as well as the item messages and the dialogue images. I crashed once though at the start of a battle. And the loading screens are broken now.

ermm bit OT but any of you guys having an issue with your controller not working?
Trying to find if there's a config ini or anything of the sort for this game, it's detecting my Roccat Tyon as a controller, and even changing the prefered peripheral to my gamepad in device settings, it still won't recognize any input from the pad.
