Victimless crime?

I never understand these stories.
That woman is attractive. Im not saying she's ridiculously hot but she is at least average and im sure there is not a shortage of willing men her own age.

What compels her to risk her job to sleep with a teenage boy?
Is she lonely, teaching hours are too long, doesn't have time to find a 'man' outside work?
Does she simply like younger guys?
Is it really love?
Or is this 15 year old ridiculously good looking? Like maybe if she was fucking men shed be fucking guys that were equally average looking, but once she starts banging teenagers she can score a much better looking individual?....

Wonder how many of us would be banging 'hot' 15 or 16 year olds if we were teachers and our students were willing...
Obviously I wouldn't because its WRONG lol, oh and I wouldn't want to lose my job.

I think, they should take a look at why its even happening in the first place, it could just be human instinct, being around someone for a long period of times, could have an effect, if the person could be attractive enough.

That doesn't really account for the 99% of teachers that don't boink their students. It's also a terrible idea that would likely inhibit learning.

I'd actually view it the same way if it were a guy, personally. I'm not quick to label anybody as a sicko or an animal...

I believe that people reach these kind of actions because of something. Whether its a mental illness, a chemical imbalance, a history of abuse, or severe mental failings arising from some kind of profound lonliness... there could be any number of reasons really.

Now that's not to provide excuses for them, because as I say - the law is the law, and its needed to protect young people from predatory behaviour... but I do often ask myself in these sorts of cases: how sad and lost in life does someone in their late 20s have to be to pursue sexual relations with someone who is over 10 years younger? Is there nobody around them that they can talk to, or nobody to fill that hole in their life and guide them another way?

In some cases, I just feel sorry for everyone involved.

These threads do come across as testing what is and isn't acceptable, an interest that goes a bit beyond news. The photos, the standard GAF nice/would/burn her nonsense that results. It's getting a bit unpleasant really.

At the end of the day whoever the parties involved it's an abuse of power and trust. It's pointless to speculate on what damage the victims might or might not have, the teacher is there to teach and with that position comes responsibility.

The fact it seems to be Computer who is always starting the threads makes it seem like some are almost role-playing the scenario, and GAF should be better than that.

It's none of those things. It's a certain fetish, a type mental disease. It's why people who get caught with child porn on their computers aren't necessarily evil people. They happen to have outlying sexual desires and tendencies, and they either give in to them at some point or struggle to suppress them their whole lives. It's not something someone without these tendencies can attempt to rationalize or understand.

I feel oddly torn on it. I know that logically these laws need to be in place and she should get some punishment for it, since it really isn't acceptable behavior at all. On the other hand, I feel like if the kid wasn't actually manipulated or anything, then punishing her and basically ruining her life would likely affect him in the long run a lot more than just having sex with her would. I mean I'd feel horrible beyond belief if I was involved in something like this and someone I was with was fired and put in prison for any amount of time. That would, I think, profoundly affect my future relationships and self confidence.

Seriously. These come up once a week, it seems, I'm surprised we haven't gotten rules on it. All the chuckleheads saying, "Well, he let her into the house" really have no comprehension of the law and why certain laws are set.

I love the double standard when it comes to stuff like this. If the teacher had been a guy, I'm sure the responses would be completely different. If a man sleeps with a minor he's a paedophiliac animal, but if it's chick, she's doing the victim a favor...

She's performed sexual acts with a 15 year old now, that's one line crossed, who says she won't go for a 12 year old, or even younger the next time? Abuse is abuse, whether it's done by a man or a woman. She has a problem and she should no longer be allowed to teach in schools.
