Er, generally when "tragedy porn" is used, it's the looser definition of "porn" where one thing is focused on to an excessive degree, often to the exclusion of other material. So "food porn" or "scenery porn" or whatever. The presence or absence of sexually explicit material doesn't matter.

I'd like to take this time to thank sonicmj1 for inviting me to have this backlog summer season. If next summer seems as uninteresting as this past one, I'd be more than happy to do it again!

On the note of whether I thought this was the "shakiest/weakest" of the titles we chose. Hmm, I'd give the title to 08th MS Team instead. Of course, we made a remarkable list overall.

And I'd like to thank you for joining me. Half the fun of watching anime in a community is seeing what other people think, so doing this together was great.

If I thought of 08th MS Team as a 12 episode show, I'd rank it lower than Paranoia Agent, but I don't, so they're pretty close.

Tentative meaningless ranking:
Gunslinger Girl > Haibane Renmei > Soredemo > 08th MS Team = Paranoia Agent

So who wants to join me for a Gunslinger Girl II watch? Anyone?

Unlike many people here, I don't think of myself as a masochist. I value my time spent browsing GAF too much to spend it on bad shows.

But if you want to do it without me, I'd definitely be interested in hearing from someone else exactly why it's terrible.

So I first posted here a few months ago saying that I didn't know why I don't really watch anime regularly since childhood and was trying to re-discover japanese animation beginning with Chaos;Head. I was at the time watching the first episodes and fearing that the show wouldn't deliver as much as it promised. And since I shamefully never dropped my final input on it...

It delivered. And didn't deliver.

The whole thing blew me away and will indeed be remembered. It even broadened my limited scientific culture by forcing me to google about the Dirac sea.

But after all is said and done, and altough I highly regard the show, it would maybe have needed a genius to hit a perfect with how crazy the plots where. To better explain my relative disappointment with the final, I will simply paraphrase a line from Borges I read some time ago that stuck me : the solution of a mystery is always less impressive than the mystery itself.
And there is the fact that with writing material like that, one could have hoped for a show that went ballistic with its fight scenes. Sadly not the case, the fights are really meh for the most part and don't really help the final episode. Here I was watching a show that throwed all sort of crazy writing ideas and twists at me, and at the same time didn't really elevate its fights scenes above you typical super powered show.
And maybe, surely even, Chaos;Head needs to be watched several times, or maybe I too dumb, or maybe the writing failed on that part, but fuck, at the end I had still not understood the 'why' of the premise

Chaos;Head was still a terrific experience I wouldn't hesitate to call a must-see.

There are a lot of things you could watch, and it's hard to make recommendations without knowing more about your tastes. But as others have already said, Steins;Gate would be an excellent show for you to watch next. It's from the same "series" as Chaos;Head, but it's almost universally agreed to be better.

As for images, there's no ban on using Google image search to find stuff, but it's a matter of making sure you can find the images you want that are safe to hotlink. Just be careful and you should be fine.

Wow. This episode was packed with action, humor, and tons of fanservice. The art style is interesting, as the heroes look Lupin-esque while the villains look like they belong in Panty&Stocking. From scene transitions to fight sequences, everything is ridiculously colorful and adds to the upbeat vibe that emanates from the lead Honey.



One is an aloof office girl by day, superhero by night, the other is a gun toting, authority wielding badass 24/7. If there's any justice in this world, something will develop between these two. ;_;

People watching classy anime. This was the episode directed by Imaishi right? I can tell because explosions and shit.

Fairy Tail 151

Kind of a slow start to the new arc, well I guess if one even considers its a new arc as they didnt really introduce what they highlighted in the new OP until the mention of it in the post credits scene. Though the episode was called Sabertooth so I guess they kind of stayed on track. New OP visuals is nice considering I already know what the arc is gonna be on though it will take a while getting used to the song. I still have the same reservations about the song choice A-1 and such chooses for Fairy Tail as compared to most of the other longer shounen the songs still lack that oomf or whatever that the other ones give off. ED was odd as well, kind of too mellow for what will happen next. Hopefully it changes when

The ending has some well-executed moments from a direction stand-point at least. Although I actually appreciate what it was trying to do on a thematic level. I don't really dislike any episode in the series except for #5.

The final episode does indeed come with some great direction, but the narrative comes to a point where the psychological details for characters in the latter segment are crammed into what's left of a given episode and spelled out in a fashion that can only be described as untidy and loose.

As for episodes, I actually appreciated Episode 5. I, of course, can see someone having an issue with it for obvious reasons. I don't believe sonicmj1 was fond of it either, if I recall.

I would first list episodes such as seven or nine as far as regarding those I'm not particularly fond of.
