Hype rising. Just watched the Treehouse look and this seems really fun for my wife and I to play together in MP. Maybe I missed it, but is there town customization (specifically, aesthetic stuff)? Was wondering if there was more to crafting than just items and weapons and stuff.

Upgraded rerelease of the original Fantasy Life.
Basically an add-on that bring online multi and tons of content.
It has online and yes it looks like this will be another big 3ds time sink.

Maybe that's why people weren't sure if it was Link? Maybe it's the base Link game with a lot of stuff intentionally pulled out to sell as DLC?

The game has some "DLC" that can help make the game easier/faster ala Awakening

This looks like it has a lot of potential. My only hope is with the structure. I hope the whole "choose your life' angle doesn't basically mean they are taking all of the things you could normally do at all times in an open world RPG, and forcing you to choose one of them at a time. It kind of seems like all of these paths I can choose form in Fantasy Life, I can just always do in Skyrim.

Yeah they had another playthrough, hopefully someone archived it.
Extra sidequests, more characters who are "masters of their classes" that you can become allies with.

it seems that in multiplayer, only the person inviting the others to his world, advances in his quests and gets all the loot ...

Googled it and gamefaqs member said it isn't and that if you want you can change it to day or night by resting.
