Ranmasanma was the best placing American, but didn't get top 16. Thought Justin would do it, but damn.

what makes sf5 boring right now imo is wake up jab, and throws
hopefully they got nerfed in the balance patch

What exactly would you propose? Make all light attacks 5f instead? Or increase frame advantage after knockdowns so when everybody does dash up > normal after a knockdown it isn't so air tight?

EDIT: Holy crap, it looks like Poongko is literally powering up during GF.

gamerbee did it!

If you think that Poongko super that just happened against Gamerbee was "boring", then no amount of patching can save this game for you.

i was actually talking about someone else who mentioned finding this game boring compared to sf4

That was Poongko's best chance to qualify. He only had 10 points before this event and with 138, it will be a struggle considering how badly he has placed throughout the season.

Was rooting for Poongko, but I'm happy for Gamerbee. He has a lot of points that don't really matter anymore as far as the Global rankings are concerned. So I'm sure some people are happy he's out of the way.

As for winning Japan Cup, it's both good and bad. You get to say you bodied Japan at SF, but you go home with no money for doing so.

Nice, I said Gamerbee was a little underrated recently. He was already pretty consistent, but you have to give him best Necalli by now. Great job.

Meaty pressure will only get better, it's already better han a few months ago. And nerf throws? They already have low damage compared to everything else.

Poongko and Gamerbee are well-versed in heartbreaking losses but I guess Poongko has the firmest claim to that title now.

I really feel for him.

Flash Metroid either went 0-2 in his pool, or didn't even show up. Maybe he'll argue that he should get points for 'entering' two tournaments this weekend and didn't bother showing up to either.

F Champ won Thunderstruck.

No idea who won Fighting Fest in DR. Brackets at Smash.gg said that Dark Jiewa vs Crossover.

Somebody in chat said that Crossover won the tournament, but no idea if that's true or not.

Nice! With the 128 won at Thunderstruck, and the 398 global points, he should have enough to qualify for Capcom Cup as a global rep, as it currently stands. He already has a path with being top 2 in NA after the global spots as well. 398 puts him above Mago, and Chris T.
