Guardiola is now blaming a mole. First it was the medical staff and now dressing room moles?

Are you Mourinho in disguise?

Well to be fair how else would the press know about what happened in a changing room. Somebody present told the press. Same thing with the Ferguson and Beckham boot thing years ago and all the other stuff. Also Pellegrini after last weeks game said in a press conference that he was told by a friend inside Real Madrid that Ronaldo wasn't going to be playing the day prior to the game.

They will definitely need to strengthen, or risk a disaster of a season, they'll have the money to do, and their scouts are pretty great, so it's not impossible. I just hope their team doesn't get completely pillaged, I like it when the top 4 is completely unpredictable.
I do too, but my wallet doesn't

With the way last season went for us in Europe, I wish we'd just fucked it off from the beginning and concentrated on the league.
Probably exactly the same attitude for any team that was in Europe and at one point had a glimpse of the title. Spurs fought hard to get to the last 16 and then Poch played the weakest team he could. We beat Leicester in the FA cup after losing the week before to them in the prem, but then we barely tried against Palace.
I love getting more football but you sacrifice important games on the home turf and it cost us the league this time round.

Ranieri has to add depth to the squad with all dem monies.
Be interested what they'll do innit.

What the hell :( RIP

The Dinamo Bucharest and Cameroon midfielder Patrick Ekeng has died in hospital, less than two hours after collapsing during a league match against Viitorul Constanta.

The player had been on the pitch for only seven minutes after his introduction as a second-half substitute when he fell to the floor, with his side 3-2 ahead, in the 70th minute. The match was being televised live in Romania. Local media reported that he suffered a heart attack.

Ekeng was taken by ambulance to the nearby Floreasca Emergency Hospital, which was swiftly surrounded by Dinamo fans desperate for news of a player who joined the club in January and was making his seventh league appearance. He had scored his first goal for the club in last month’s Romanian Cup semi-final, against their city rivals, Steaua Bucharest. Ekeng had previously played in Europe for Le Mans, Lausanne and Córdoba and had seven senior caps for Cameroon.

Digisport claimed it took two minutes and 47 seconds for Ekeng to be taken to the ambulance, which they said contained no specialist equipment and was intended to be used purely for transportation.

In October 2000 the then captain of Bucharest, Catalin Hildan, collapsed and died during a friendly game.

Sturridge says he has no plans to leave Liverpool this summer. Good!

Well, he wasn't going to say that he did if he was going to leave. Only way to see what will happen is to wait. Despite his recent form, Klopp knows he can't count on him being available, and that's the problem.

Fair enough. But it didn't sound like a man desperate to leave, and yeah might be up to Klopp in the end to be fair.

I wish the FA would just come out and say which offences have what bans associated with them. Biting, 10 matches, gouging 6 matches, punching 3 matches, etc. We shouldn't have to hope that the judge dealing with the individual cases aren't having a bad day.

I don't think its even Sturridge's fitness that would be Klopp's issue, its the fact that pressing, physically occupying and out-muscling defenders is not something that he consistently displays a willingness to do.

Loathe as I am to jinx it, I don't think he's had such a long spell of fitness since he's joined us, and this spell was the aim of the surgery he had last summer. There were reports at the time that he'd be in for another run of months in which he'd pick up niggling injuries, and then the improvements would start to show.

His pace and acceration is coming back game by game as well. If he can stay fit until the end of the season, I see no reason why we should just assume that he'll go back to being unreliable when the underlying issue may well have been fixed, to some extent at least. Plus, we finally seem to have a good alternative in Origi to take the importance away from Sturridge, so its not so damaging when he is unavailable.

I'd much, much rather we sign an alternative to Sturridge than a replacement. He's a brilliant, brilliant striker. We'd be very fortunate to replace him with somebody anywhere near as effective he is.

We have zero chance of signing someone as good as him, who will be fit more often. Not unless we get to a position to be regularly in the champions league and fighting for the title. And given the topsy-turvy state of the Prem at the moment, that's not going to be a guarantee any time soon.

Pretty much.

Think he's the third best striker in the league, unless Vardy can keep up his form.

You need to take into consideration that Sturridge already has issues with being benched, especially when Origi hit form. If we get someone near Sturridge level as an alternative, Sturridge wouldn't be happy and would likely force a move out, as Klopp has shown that he prefers to play with one striker up top. That's exactly what happened at Chelsea, as he didn't want to play out wide. He's the type of player who loves the attention and loves to play centrally like his idol Henry.

He's not reliable enough to be played up top consistently as the lead striker at the moment. He needs to show he can do it, especially with the amount of pressing Klopp demands from his players. It's a weird situation. I was absolutely pissed off when he was benched last week, but I don't want him to get injured again with the final being so close because of the amount of pressing.

Going to be an interesting summer and coming season.

Best wishes.

Balotelli is still at Liverpool? looooool
On-loan at Milan, 3 goals in 18 apps in all comps.

The main reason why the over-abundance of strikers at 'Pool hasn't been an issue yet is because Ings did his ACL and things just haven't worked out for Benteke, the player 'worth Villarreal's turnover' according to Marcelino.

So Madrid and Atleti are both only getting 20k tickets for the final.

San Siro can have up to 81k people no problem.

UEFA loves scalpers it seems.

That's good, he's still are best striker and probably our only truly world class player (when fully fit). His celebration on Thursday was amazing, if does that more than his dance, all of LFC will love him.

It's a complete joke, how they are handling the ticket allocations for the 2 finials.

I mean it would take some of the drama away but the FA are obviously incapable of making decent and consistent decisions

I don't even know who Ings is, tbh

I really hope Ings can get a proper chance and feel that he can do well under Klopp. The timing of his injury couldn't be more unfortunately, he probabky isn't going anywhere, but everyone else at least got a chance to prove themselves before the summer window arrives.

Keep watching Man U games with the hopes of Memphis finally stepping up, keep getting dissapointd -_-

I miss the PSV memphis

Darmian is the new Phil Jones. At least Borthwick-Jackson is back

Can't get over his running, he looks like a veliciraptor.

Memphis Depay is shit.

Worse than Di Maria who clearly couldn't give a fuck last season.

Not giving a fuck, out of form and placed in weird positions Di Maria (in a shit system and under Gaal) still plugged in like 2nd most assists in his first season. Would loved to have seen him flourish.

I don't understand any Liverpool fan who's iffy about keeping Studge on. If anything his work off the ball creates so many opportunities for the other players, and he just knows how to score, whereas a lot of our players can have a tendency to hit the keeper or the woodwork.

Balotelli has gotta leave, and I feel Benteke would probably want to so he can be the star man somewhere else. Time will tell how the pecking order settles with Ings and Origi, but Sturridge will always be on the top, especially after a summer of Klopp drilling in whatever system he wants.

So just checked the Man U score and seen no Rashford, is he injured too? Or is Van Gaal just being Van Gaal?

I think some just don't like him for whatever reason, the long injury spells didn't help him, but I agree we should definitely keep him, there's no way we'll be able to get anyone as good as he is and we probably wouldn't even get much for him, due to how injury prone he is.
