I saw the British remake of The Office. It wasn't very good, and apparently had to be canceled after 8 episodes, unlike the American series which had some legs.
It was Colombian and it was sooooo bad. I saw the first episode when it aired and was baffled by how much of It was just a direct copy on a shoestring budget. Really made me appreciate BBs acting, music, and especially its cinematography.
I remember Japan tried to do "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?", and it tanked because Japanese people didn't care about poor people becoming rich; they cared about rich, celebrities doing stupid shit for a chance to win a vacuum or something cheap.
My Coworkers let me know about Indian Everybody Loves Raymond which I guess was a big failure. And I love how the brother in the Indian version looks a lot like the brother from the American version
There's like Indian versions of almost every hit American TV show
There was an awful spanish version of Cheers in 2011 that lasted 3 episode on air.
They even messed up the wonderful intro of the original https://youtu.be/rLzPTeq36uI
