Because 360's have to be modded to play pirated games. No modding = in tact warranty.

I just thought of something for those questioning if this is wrong or not....if I take my console to another country, wouldn't I have to change the location? If so, how is this a problem?

Maybe I vacation alot for weeks, months at a time in different countries, maybe I like bringing my 360 with me......

Well, thank you OP. I more or less raided whatever was free from Oman. This is the most use I've gotten out of my 360 in a long while.

i am in the US, tried to dl sherlock, got to the confirm screen, but after i hit the confirm button, i got a message saying the game did not match region. Saw PAL only in OP but thought i'd give it a try anyway. all the other games work for me except arcania, there i just get the error code.

lucidore bane dlc is also free for injustice, not sure if that is free everywhere or not.

So yeah this glitch isn't just Oman, it's every region that's considered as other on xbox.com. You can check the list of allowed locales on your xbox in system settings.
Some of them have other glitchy stuff too like credit card errors etc. You can also access the xbox live marketplace/games on demand with the glitchy accounts by simply logging out to enter it, going to a game view and logging in. I've been trying to get sr4 for free but all I've managed to do is get it show up as being -1 cost, can't actually purchase it at that price unfortunately. The free games in the op are free for every other region, some of them have issues getting the downloads to work due to credit card retrieval errors. Vatican city for example has the same free downloads but they error out. Jordan has the same free downloads and it allows you to attempt to purchase other games but that doesn't work. Monaco allows you to access everything but everything is priced at 9999,00€. This is fascinating stuff

Injustice still works with Oman.

1. Create an Oman email account on outlook.com.
2. Go to Xbox.com and sign in with the Oman email account. This'll create an Oman gamer tag.
3. Turn on Xbox and DL your Oman profile with the email account.
4. Set your locale to Austria from the settings in the dashboard.
5. Sign out of all accounts.
6. You should see a Fifa 14 ad and then batman or superman below it on the main page (still not signed in).
7. Click batman/superman to see the WB sale page. Injustice should show as 30% off.
8. Login to your Oman account.
9. Click the injustice icon and download for Free.
10. You'll need to stay logged in as Oman while the DL finishes.
11. This just worked for me 15 minutes ago in US.

I've tried Injustice a couple times today using the instructions ITT but I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I set the locale to Austria while on my Oman account, sign out, and there is no Fifa/WB sale ad (because I am not signed into Live, how would there be ads?) to select.

Yeah man. Just don't delete the game since it wont be in your download history, it'll be in that profile's. As long as it's on there, any account on the console can play it.

you can play them on any profile

You can. The licences download to the console, so if you're using a different profile on the console you downloaded the games on, you're good to go.

ah, that must be the differencitor then. I know in the past my brother purchased some arcade games under his proflle on his console, and in order to play them on my console I had to specifically sign-in as his profile.

as soon as injustice has finished downloading I'll be switching the console's locale back to my own country from austria, lol.

I managed to grab every game mentioned I. The OP and others that are found by fellow GaFfers. I went to dashboard without signing in to any profile. Then went to live market and searched for a game mentioned in OP. Once it appeared, then signed in Oman account through guide and from there everything worked.

Destination Arcade, Game Room and Family Game Night are all free anyway. They're just apps, that you buy games from inside (although Game Room - and D:A? - has been cancelled).

All EA online passes are free for everyone, anyway.

Themes - Who knows if they're free, but get them if that's your thing, I guess.

I had the same problem with Arcania eventually it started working. I stayed on the active downloads thing for the entire process and then checked it the next day and it worked.

I followed the instructions, and I currently have the option to download Injustice for free right now.

However, I'm concerned that doing this might have consequences. This isn't comparable to piracy, as some people have said, but surely it's comparable to a trick for a FIFA game a while back that allowed people to download stuff for free by disconnecting their ethernet cable at the right time?

EDIT: Wait, I just noticed that next to where it says: "Download - Free", it says "See Full Game". Is this the demo? It doesn't specifically say Demo, even when I click on it, and the purchase window opens,

This is more like a pricing error in a store. It's the store's responsibility to price everything correctly, and they generally honor pricing errors lest they be accused of false advertising. You could argue that it's unethical to take advantage of a pricing error knowing full well it's unintentional, but it's not a crime.

I do wonder if MS pays the devs for each of these copies that gets downloaded.

In a store like Amazon or Best Buy, sure. Take advantage of pricing errors. Not quite the same situation here, though. While Amazon would just cancel the faulty order, MS has issued bans for far less.

If you guys want to risk this, go ahead, but let's not pretend this is a simple pricing error in a store. The fact that there's region-switching, phantom logins, and free full game downloads? Yeah. That's playing with fire.
