Like every other build your own salad place has the nutritional information for 1 portion of every ingredient on the menu so there is really no excuse here.

As a Canadian who loves this new law, Freshii can either get with it or get gone. Honestly, if they wanted, they could even state something like "480 Calories (100 from #g protein)" to really inform what good nutrients are in it.

The next step for fast food laws in this country, IMO, is stating how much sodium is used in a dish.

Freshii's website states, "Not all calories are created equal. Some calories are healing, some are harming."

Please don't tell me they run a tumblr blog either. What kind of pseudoscienc bullshit is this. A calorie is a measureable unit of energy. One calorie is one calories is one calorie whether you get it from lettuce, rice, meat etc.

Right. But we dont eat calories. We eat food. In that food contains calories and a bunch of other things. Some of those things are good for you. Some are bad for you.

It's a pretty easy concept to get your head around and there's no need to throw your toys out of the pram because a company selling salads is trying to say 'eat more salads and less fucking pizza'.

Listing calories has no negatives, only positives. And Freshii with its "not all calories are created equal" sound like complete idiots whose food I wouldn't trust. Not that I'd ever consider eating at a place called 'Freshii' anyway.

Fast food places should steal that line to excuse their 1500 calorie salads.

Mate; it's this big;

They do post them. On their website. Which is easy to get to. Also, they provide access to their nutritional information in the stores on computers in the lineup.

Make that piece of paper slightly bigger, and list the calories for one serving of each of those ingredients next to them. Done.

What does GAF think? Do calories matter, should Freshii share their calorie info?

It's a law. So they can choose between:
1) Follow the laws
2) Pay the fines
3) Advocate to change the laws

If they're not following the laws while doing #3, then they get to do #2 as well.
