So I updated my Wii system menu to the latest dealie (4.1? What changed since 4.0?).
I also updated the homebrew channel, and it gave me the nifty option of installing Boot Mii and DVDX. I went ahead and installed BootMii (via boot2). It said everything went fine, and the directories exist on my SD card, but when I rebooted my Wii, it booted as normal.
1: What is DVDX for, besides playing DVDs on the Wii? I remember people used to always say to install it to get certain shit to work, but I always skipped it and never had any issues because of it.
2: Does BootMii (via the HackMii installer) tell you whether or not you're able to use BootMii via boot2? Or does it just try using the boot2 method and if it works it works, if it doesn't, it doesn't?
3: Does BootMii (via boot2) work with SDHC cards? My Wii has no problem accessing my 8 GB SDHC for anything else...
I need to update my other crap, too, so I may have other questions later...:
I need the latest cIOS (v14 is it?), the latest USB loader back end (4.1 is it?), and a new USBLoader front end (tons to choose from, I know.
4: Is there anything else I may need? My Wii has been collecting dust for a while so I dunno wtf is going on right now. Every time I get back into this it's a clusterfuck of firmware versions, cIOS versions, WADs, DOLs, and what have you.
