With Crysis, for me at least, its about the visuals, but also the physics and openness of the world too. Compare Crysis 1 and 2 in terms of objects that can be interacted with in terms of physics and its a pretty big difference. Going around in Crysis 1 and punching down houses or mowing down tons of trees is cool, in addition to the visuals.

I think advancements in physics, interactivity of the world, AI and those sorts of things that don't show in screenshots are even more exciting than fancier visuals for nextgen games.

Just came to think of that the 2013 D.I.C.E. Summit happens before both Destination PlayStation and Game Developers Conference. With the people attending and the theme of the conference I would be surprised if both Durango and Orbis aren't heavily discussed there (while golfing or playing poker etc.). Just look at the speakers this year:

If anything leaks out is the question. Don't expect any console reveal anyway (duh!) Still, it's usually a great show to follow. Whether there will be any live streams this year I don't know, but hopefully. It would be nice to see Gabe's presentation live.

Hype get. I've pretty much settled on buying one of these two at launch this year, provided I'm satisfied by the BC situation (especially the Xbox for XBLA) and they aren't crazy expensive. I have never bought hardware at launch before. Gotta do it at least once.

Welp, looks like CVG is also saying we'll see PS4/720 before E3 as well.

But it will very likely be much sooner. CVG has been told by development sources connected to both the PlayStation and Xbox businesses that, in fact, both systems will be announced before E3.
