In the "SP part 1" video I thought it was really cool the way it starts in the dark bunker and then you drive for a little bit, and then you're exposed to the first dashes of covenant. Seemed very fluid and really felt like some classic warthog fun. The marine dialogue was cool in this vid too.

In the first single player video, I like how they designed the level to have lots of open space for the Warthog. Huge departure from the garbage driving sections of Halo 2, more akin to Halo 1.

Also, in the replay video when the Brutes kill the marine, the hit detection was terrible.

Oh cool, something I noticed from watching that single player vid again, you can now steal your allies' weapons from behind; it was kind of annoying in Halo 2 having to go round to their front (and sometimes they'd keep turning away! ).

For the uninitiated, the Campaign demo is Tsavo Highway, which is what they showed at IMAX on Tuesday. And as blim said in the other thread, it cuts off right when things get interesting. Hopefully Brian hops out of the Warthog so we can see some of the Brute AI.

I'm actually not downloading it now (at work) but yesterday I wanted to download a bunch of your MP4 files to the PS3 but there were no servers available. Has that changed?

Oh man, I love how the gameplay and the environment transition between light and dark, over and above ground, and between different areas. From the bunker to the first outpost, to the great outdoors, then under some structure, then finding yourself on an elevated road. The variety and expansiveness of the scenery is a huge step up from the previous games - and this is just from what appears to be the first stretch of a single level.

Wow. Amazing stuff. At about 1:37 a Brute Chieftan dives away from the Warthog and one of his subordinates pulls off a sweet spin move to get out of the way. Very nice. Hog has been powered up as far as collision damage is concerned. It's a splatter machine. Even concrete embankments stand no chance against it's snout.

And the Covie cruiser. Holy balls!
