my favorite bond movie with favorite bond. New bond movie are not fun. They are all serious and it seems like life has been sucked out of them.

Golden eye is what bond always should be.

I think The World is Not Enough has aged the best and is the best Brosnan movie, funny enough, since just 12 years ago I was calling it easily his worst (before Die Another Day came out). It's the only movie where I felt like Brosnan was a human and not a cartoon (other than the torture sequence at the beginning of the fourth movie). The scene where he shoots Electra is one of my favorite Bond moments.

Honestly World is Not Enough is probably my favourite Brosnan movie too.

Elektra: You wouldn't kill me. You'd miss me.
*bang*
Bond: I never miss.

Almost makes up for the Christmas only comes once a year joke he makes at the end of the movie.

Man, getting sick of threads about people claiming something did not age well. No shit, things are a product of their fucking time you ignorant clods. Of course a movie made 20 fucking years ago will not have current music in it you fucking half wits.

GoldenEye was effectively a reboot along the same lines as Casino Royale for Craig. But Brosnan had the bigger task being as this was the first post cold-war Bond which, after all defined who he was throughout the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

GoldenEye is a brilliant film.as it straddles this era effortlessly, with some great scenes (the opening on the dam is spectacular) some memorable characters and real soul, which Craig's neoliberal Bond's lack with their nasty mean-spiritedness.

Just my opinion though.

tomorrow never dies was a pretty bad movie at its time... yet is weirdly topical now lol.

Tomorrow Never Dies was an astonishing waste of Michelle Yeoh.
The real Rupert Murdoch is more evil than poor boring Elliott Carver.
The stealth boat thing literally made me roll my eyes.

In general the Brosnan Bond era had too many goddamn gadgets, it got completely absurd in Die Another Day. I'm glad they went back to Bond, his girl, his fists, and his gun in the Daniel Craig era.
