It's RRish in the sense that RR has some sections on some tracks that look like generic city track

but I meant it in the sense of their overblown tracks; going through tunnels with aquariums above, air port tracks, giant inflatable dinosaurs, mount rushmore along the side of the track, etc.

wait for GT 6. only the even numbered versions are good. look at GT2, tons of cars!! look at GT4, a lot better than GT3

Hey guys, like I've been asked a few times on this topic and elsewhere, here is the gameplay video (cockpit view) we filmed at the GC reencoded to 60 fps and in full 720p :)

720p mp4 and 640x360 xvid are encoding, but it will take some time. Also I've encoded the streaming video manually so it's 60 fps too.

Not sure why some people complain about the sounds still. I know sounds were muted in previous GTs, but I always thought they were basing it on cockpit acoustics. I know a lot of cars do a good job muffling the engine note. The sound that comes through most yet gets ignored the most (IMO) is road noise. All cars behave differently here, based on the quality of the sound-dampening, but road noise is like what, 70% of the noise you hear at highway speeds? As a function of tire tread, pavement texture and speed, I don't think any game dev has ever gotten it right. PEACE.

The devs that seem like they got it right (NFS games as an example) make all cars sound like they are from the movies (still great sounding, but not realistic) - the other ones just fail to give the cars the balls they deserve.

We've all heard that car in real life that makes you just shit your pants because of how amazing it sounds, and there are no special effects going on there - no one has nailed it so far.

Hahahah thanks I forgot about that trick. I understand about the ads you gotta do what you gotta do. .

MP4 version is up, took hours to encode for some reason. Let me know if it works on a PS3, since I think it's my first 60fps mp4 video!

As soon as it's done downloading, i'll throw it on my PS3 to check for you - give me another 40 minutes. :lol

EDIT: It loads on the PS3, but the video itself looks like it's doing 5fps - runs even worse on my PC.
 
I tried it on my desktop and the sound started to get choppy after a few seconds.

On my laptop it was the same thing with MPC but with WMP it played fine.

Yeah that's usually what happens, that's why i found it odd it was the other way around this time.

Whoops, sorry about this. The AVI and MP4 files have been reencoded at 1000 fps due to a bug in my reencoding system (and a nasty one at that). It's now fixed and the mp4 file is being encoded right now (40% as of now). It should be online in a few minutes, so please give this new file another try.
It will be file 4407.
For some reason I can only download at like 200 KB/s instead of my usual 2MB/s so I can't test it myself.
 
Something they should do as far as AI, if possible is something similar to VF where AI is programmed to fight like certain famous VF players. They should do the same for some races in GT mode where in certain races such as championship races, you'd race against AI of certain drivers. It'd be difficult in some cases because of licenses, but they should be able to get something done with other drivers. They haven't really talked about the GT mode at all, mostly because tis not even part of Prologue, but that's something that they do need to overhaul with new ideas.

Those shots are a jag fest. Cars and lighting look good though.

They are small screens that have obviously been compressed hence the jaggies.

I looked for larger shots but couldn't ifnd them.
