It's set up like an actual TV broadcast of drifting. There's even commentary. They put an amazing amount of effort into these videos.

Mind blown.

At first I thought the Harbor environment was going to be a Course Creator theme, but it looks like PD has developed it into a very fast course.

Still waiting for more development of the Course Creator:

- Point to Point courses. These are already in the game (Gran Turismo Rally). It was also shown, at least in screenshots before.

- More environments. Toscana Dirt. The Special Stage 17 highway theme. The coastal road seen in the Ferrari California trailer.

Cmon Kaz, take my money.

Fantastic trailer, but is there any indication whatsoever that the track featured there will be released? I recall several instances of unreleased tracks in previous trailers that are nowhere to be seen.

Simply don't want to end up disappointed, that's all.

Consedering we only started getting DLC recently it would have been unwise to expect any before that. Now we know were getting dlc every other month

I actually had trouble figuring out whether these were professional or amateur.

Amazing, simply amazing. So much love and dedication. Thanx for this SS.

BTW Those capture devices are so impossible to find in Central Eastern Europe. I tried to find non-HDCP card that GRom proposed but it is discontinued and unobtainable here. I would so love to be able to capture a footage of this quality.

I've also been looking, but they're all so prohibitively expensive that I gave up shortly after -.-

Their best opening imo is the Fuji opening EDIT: scratch that, the tsukuba opening is amazing (Their are 3 diffrent opening for were the events take place), btw is there anyother well made GT5 video's like this online?

EDIT: Can someone twitt kaz and tell him to make a Youtube account for PD, where they will be posting weekly video' of races. With their expert editing and effects it will be awesome to watch, somebody please.

Are the rain mechanics in this game somewhat broken or something? I went into the last race of the FGT Championships, saw that it was raining pretty hard, so I started the race with rain tires. I fell way behind everyone else, and my bob forced a pit, whereupon I decided to see what racing soft would do. It turns out that racing tires don't seem to have any traction problems at all despite the rain.

Edit: Also, the forced pit after the first lap was pretty strange in itself. Probably half a dozen other cars decided to pit at the same time, and there was a huge pileup at the entrance to the pit lane, with some of the cars getting nearly stuck perpendicular to the lane. It took over a minute to get through. Then all the other cars that had pitted changed to the same tires they were already using.

Rain itself doesn't matter, what matters is how wet the track is, there's an icon that shows how how wet it is in %. Below 30% you can use normal tires. Above that use intermediates, and around 70 switch to full rain tires.

The only one that I can think of is TommiKIN. I think everyone in the GT community knows about him. But his stuff isn't even up to the level of this. I've really never seen anything like this for any game. I was surprised to see in the credits that all of the production work was done by one person (silvx180). PD should hire him to put together similar videos for the lead up to GT6.

Wow, this is some of the most impressive fan-made machinima work I've seen...very awe-inspiring, especially the intros!

Thanks for sharing! =)

Has anyone actually done any of the more ridiculous endurance races? 9 hours seems bad enough, but at least I can let that run overnight. 24 hours, I'm not sure I'd like to keep my system on that long. In either case, can I just set a pit strategy or even just let the Bobs pit on their own and hope for the best? Since they only seem to allow four drivers, will they actually have enough strength to last the 2.25 or 6 hours of their share, or do they cycle back to the beginning after resting during their off time? If I just bring in a car that ridiculously outclasses the rest of the field, will they be pretty much safe?

Yeah. Just set the pit in strength level at the minimum. Btw you can save mid race when you enter the pits so you don't have to leave the PS3 on all the time. But you can't do anything else in the game, once you boot it again it'll go directly to the race.

Oh lawd

EDIT: While GTPlanet is a great site and you should visit it, i'll post these leaked details here for convenience.

Update 2.03 includes:

New themes for My Home in GT Mode.
An option for tire wearing in Pit Strategy (B-spec).
Simulates regenerative braking on electric cars.
Chaparral 2J Race Car ’70: Fan down force option.
Fixed unintended pit stop error in the final lap of a B-spec race.

And probably more.

The 3rd round of car DLC includes:

Nissan Leaf G '11
Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10
Volkswagen 1200 '66
Jaguar XJR-9 LM Racecar '88
Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 '11
Mini Cooper S Countryman (R60) '11

The new track from the NSX Concept trailer will be available too, it's called "Special Stage Route X Oval" and is a Speed Test track.

All this hasn't been confirmed yet.

The aventador looks great.

The inclusion of the Jaguar XJR-9 LM Racecar 1988 is a bit random no? Somehow gives me hope about old gems being upgraded to premium models.

KAZ I LOVE YOU.

This is the kind of update I'm talking about!

Hell yes. Lambo. YES! And one of my favourite of the LeMans classics, the Jag as premium.

Give it to me NOW.

They should just do the Veyron next. That'll make those happy that desperately need their boat car in premium form.

Now at least there will be another track where one can use the Veyron's only redeeming quality.

We need to do a hybrid race if the simulation actually forces you to watch your power levels and fuel consumption.

So, we should get:

- plenty of fixes and feature updates
- 2 Standard to Premium conversions
- new cars
- great test-track

I really hope how there is one more track in that update, some that should be more usable in the online racing.

BTW This is interesting:

The guy who posted this info, GTPLanet member Space Empire, have posted this in the comments of the news at the GTP's frontpage:

山内さん。ご不便をお掛けして申し訳ございません。

According to the translator, it says "Mr. Yamauchi, this is so inconvenient, there is no excuse".

Seems it is insider leak. I feel sorry for the guy, hope he'll be allright.

Oh, I didn't look at the year, my mistake, only one conversion then :)

So, it is 1200 model, well that is even better than I thought :D

It will be glorious for tuned races, that engine is legendary. Can't wait.

Gives me hope that someday soon (more likely in the far future :( because its not exactly a popular car) the MR2 AW11 will be brought up to premium status.

That track looks very sexy tho. Can't wait.
