Grand Theft Auto Online, the online multiplayer mode, lets up to 30 players explore the open world and engage in cooperative or competitive game matches.

Development began in 2009, soon after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV. The development team envisioned Grand Theft Auto V as a spiritual successor to many of their previous projects, such as Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3. The game's use of three lead protagonists is a break from series tradition—a design choice from the developers to innovate on the core structure of its predecessors. As part of their research for the open world, the developers conducted field research around California throughout development and captured footage for the design team. Development duties were shared between many of Rockstar's studios worldwide.

OK, I'm new to GTA V: Online OR I've never played the game before. What updates came out in between now and back then?

Current gen doesn't sound as sexy as next gen, and it'll still be referred to as 'next gen' by most until the actual next generation of consoles is announced.

You totally just reminded me that this game has a stock market.

I was almost too late to that on the PS3 and only just managed to have enough money saved from missions to make the millions needed for end game shenanigans.

Can't wait to play this again btw!

Damn, all those songs should have been in the first release. It was the first time I ever felt like I'd heard them all repeat a million times while just driving around with the last gen song selection.

I so want to buy this, but I spent nearly 80-100+ hours in the last gen version, don't know if I want to replay a story again that is so fresh in my mind. I just know the next few visual fidelity will make it so enticing. Can't wait to see the small changes people find and improvements from the previous versions.

yup been studying the end game how to make Billions for months now from youtube

I wonder if they added more missions that affects the Stock Market or made no changes

Last minute hype pre-order purchase from Australian PS store. Can't be without GTA on day 1.

Will be returning the physical copy I ordered from Ozgameshop when it arrives in about a week.

Is that a complete list of the new songs? I saw mentioned several other places that ZZ Top had two songs in, and there seem to be a few others people confirmed from streams missing from the list. Not a big deal, just curious if people got it wrong or made that stuff up.

Also, if you have Gamers Club Unlocked, don't bother with the Target deal. They'll give you $25.50 for the game this week, as well as your 10% trade-in bonus. Couple that with your 20% off the game and your $10 giftcard for preordering (you have until store closing tonight for that) and you're getting the game for an insanely low price.

Ugh at that thread title.

As for the game, I'm kinda looking forward to it. Stopped playing the PS3 version cause it was too janky at parts. Plus I got bored. Hopefully this version alleviates both issues.
