can you set individual keybinds for each hero like you can with OW?

On a per hero basis no. You can choose how quick cast is set per hero but that's the only thing you can you. You can add alternates for skills or just create a whole separate profile. You could in a way emulate what you want to do by creating profiles for the heroes you want to customize but you'll have to switch manually to those.

I just want to be able to spin Dva around on the hero select screen.... for reasons.

Also her ult will be hilarious in this game.

Some of them were fun, but I feel like nobody will play them without the gold incentive.

Oh god, what if the next hero is Hanzo and the reveal trailer is akin to the Overwatch short with Genji/Hanzo. Fuuuuuuuuu

So Genji/map had been known about since the summit? I know it was leaked from the EU one, but damn they really kept tight lipped.

Also, let's take some bets on what streamer fucked Beau out of playing. Apparently they had to do 5-man sign ups and when it was time for Beau to take a seat some streamer didn't get up and asked him to get grab a beer for him.

My bet is Mewn.

no, i just hope it would be something cool since its the launch of 2.0

I still haven't played Probius because of 2.0 so I have a backlog of heroes to get to. I'm in no hurry for a new one honestly. April 25th just needs to happen already. Hopefully, it'll be a cool hero because it'll be part of the new cinematic. I still watch the original one from time to time because it was so hype.

=============

I've also had some weird back to back matches on the PTR where I was on both sides of Their Greymane/My Greymane meme. One match we had a clueless Zarya that was just trying to lane top and nothing else. She didn't even take a fort out of it too and I couldn't do anything either on the battlefield so I ended up with the most death out of our team. Next match, I was killing fools left and right. I had top everything on my team and only died once at the end. Those PTR matches are all over the place.

100% sure that it was HORSEPANTS. He was talking on stream about how he did nothing but sit on the demo PCs and play the entire time he was there even when he wasn't supposed to be. Also he's an alcoholic, so the beer thing checks out.

Yesterday on mewn's reveal stream he said that horsepants wouldn't get up from the station, so they got smart and did sign up sheets...and then he still didn't get up and ignored the sheets and just kept playing. Pretty much had to be him. Kinda shitty.

I don't get the feeling that horsepants does well in social settings. Doesn't surprise me one bit. He's a fun streamer to watch though, so at least he has that going for him.

Are quests going to remain same in 2.0? They're just really boring, I don't want to play 3 games with whatever class for nth time. Also let me swap my dailies for something I can manage easier...

Just play unranked draft. A game there counts for every quest, so it turns all of them into 'play X games'. Plus, unless you are wildly wedded to playing a specific hero, you tend to get better teams as you get a support and warrior most of the time.

Ill prob do unranked for quests then, i dislike picking based on quests but u gotta make that $

That's why it's so easy doing unranked, you can just play a normal game and not care. Extra advantage is that it counts for every quest no matter the quest, so playing Lucio in an unranked draft will give me credit for Starcraft / warrior / specialist quests all at the same time.

It just goes to show Canadians are too nice.

I'm sorry for being sorry all the time. Sorry.

I always tell myself that I should play unranked but I like plenty of heroes to play so I just yolo qm with whatever the rng gods have decided for me.

The Genji/Hanamura leak actually came from Blizzard themselves via their website because someone found it in the coding IIRC. That picture (from EU summit I guess?) came a few days later and was just further confirmation.

I doubt after you get your loot boxes (and free 1000 gems) you'll be needing too many more heroes unless you just have way less heroes than I'm imagining.

I'm sorry for being sorry all the time. Sorry.

He didn't say anything about Québécois folks. We know you guys are meaner than your Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario counterparts, to name a few. :D

Um, I thought we knew about genji / hanimura because in the press release if you looked at the upcoming section it mentioned both of them? Don't recall any hacking being needed.

No, it was found in the code on the site and posted to reddit. It was also found in the code of an email that was sent out. It wasn't blatantly stated, otherwise why embargo everyone on talking about it for another 2 weeks?

EDIT: I take that back, I found an image of it actually blatantly stated in the preview of the message it appears. (http://imgur.com/4pnZsEI) It wasn't in there for long, but it was there. The other came directly from the website code itself on this page (http://us.battle.net/heroes/en-gb/heroes20/).

I wonder if that Russian streamer will be invited back? Not entirely his fault since they basically gave it away themselves before the images in his video did.

Yep, that's the image I saw. Funny how they managed to spoil themselves accidentally, after all the streamers and people who attended the summit did SO well to keep it hidden.

I liked that they gave it to Oddish to preview as well. Heroes doing well for trans community visibility and support!

That was pretty awesome that they gave it to Oddish. She had a huge spike in viewership from that. What time I was watching the chat wasn't toxic either, which was surprising given the way Twitch usually is.

I have about 30k on hand but im missing a good chunk of the roster. Might drop my first 15k on genji tho

Don't do it bro! Such a ripoff. Plus everybody getting 1k gems for hero buying when 2.0 hits. There's never been a worse time to spend gold.

I have a question about Hanamura.

Do the payloads despawn after a certain time, or do they just stay on the map perpetually and if you have two up, no more will spawn until you finally deliver one of those? I've been in a game or two where we kept an enemy payload stalled for 5+ minutes at least and it never despawned, so I'm guessing they don't. Was just curious because by staying that's actually helpful to the enemy in a way because you still have the progress you made previously in most cases, or at least in the games I've played the payloads have rarely went backwards very far because of the constant fighting.

I just played Varian in qm for the first time against a team without warriors. That was pretty disgusting. I almost feel bad.

Yep, that's what we were saying. It counts him as a bruiser, and if you go tank and your team isn't total shit it's pretty disgusting.

My team was actually pretty good as well. Once we were ahead we grouped most of the time which meant that I could just insta delete someone on the enemy team with charge -> taunt -> follow up damage. I died once peeling for my team during a retreat and it took four of them and two ults to kill me. Even forgot putting down my banner until the very end of the game because it was my first game with Varian and I'm not used to it.

Edit: I also still think it's fucked up that Aba counts as much as a support as Tyrande.

Yep he's filthy in that mode. No clue what they were thinking with that change. I mean, I know the impetus was so that people could use him as "not a tank", but in reality it's his best build and the easiest way to win and people tend to do whatever gets the W's so it backfired.

I'd get what you want. Gold is easy to come by (though a little less so after the brawl change). I'd not buy anything til you open all your boxes, though. You might get lucky. You can also use your 1000 gems to pay the 750 and get him and not even worry about wasting the gold if you like.

Where'd you read that we're getting gems at launch? Sounds awesome to me.

It was in the initial 2.0 announcement, and also confirmed in the reddit Q&A by a Blizz dev.

From a cursory look, early payload escorting doesnt seem very worth it, like just take the free keep

How so? Even if you're not escorting you'd have to be defending theirs, and since the two often overlap it makes sense to move the payload if you believe you can win the fight IMO because you're killing two birds with one stone.

The CORE folks said the Blizz devs said they tried to de-emphasize laning on this map, and it shows. I mean you can push in and get a fort for the 2 shot on a payload, or a 3 shot (or whatever it is) for a keep....but you're easy as hell to gank pushed that far forward on this map. And in the meantime they can just merrily push their payloads without interference. Most games I've seen on PTR when forts have been taken have been when the game is out of hand one way or the other. I've only seen a keep taken once.
