LOS ANGELES, CA., February 12, 2015 - Take Black Heart's hand and hop on a floating book to enter another dimension! Hyperdimension Neptunia™ Re;Birth3: V Generation will be hitting North America and Europe Summer 2015, exclusively on the PlayStation®Vita system in both retail and digital formats! It will also be compatible with PlayStation®TV. A remake of Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, this new version features more story, more scenarios, and extra heapings of fourth-wall-breaking comedy! The game will also include dual audio, with Japanese audio available as free DLC.

Story
It’s time to Nep-Nep like it’s 1989. Neptune’s been sucked into an alternate dimension of Gamindustri! In order for her to escape from this late ‘80s world, Neptune will have to collect enough shares to open up the path to her own dimension. Sounds easy enough – except a nefarious alliance called the Seven Sages wants to rid Gamindustri of all CPUs, including Neptune! Forging cross-dimensional friendships, will Neptune be able to defeat the Seven Sages, save this alternate dimension and get back to her own, or will she be stuck in the ‘80s forever?

Key Features
+1 to Combos! Customize attack combinations with up to five moves, opening up a whole new array of ways to defeat your enemies!

New Story! Play through new story and scenarios when someone else joins the Console War fray and refuses to play by the rules!

Bring a Dungeon Buddy! Stella’s Dungeon is back, and this time she can bring friends! Each is equipped with special skills that lend their support to Stella in her items quest, so choose wisely!

Remake in your Image! Modify the world of Gamindustri to your liking by creating “Plans” that alter dungeon treasures, enemy difficulty, and more!

Get Crafty! Customize powerful equipment that can unlock the true power of the CPUs, opening up a world of new skills for them to use!

Blimey, they're really pumping these out quickly (not complaining). Just finished the first one, can't go straight in to 2 as I think they're pretty much the same gameplay wise so don't want to suffer burn out. Waiting for Hyperdevotion Noire then i'll probably try 2 then U then finally 3/

Victory is the only Neptunia game I have finished so I don't really need to get this, but I might get this just because Plutia is the best.

Summer is decently soon, glad it's not a long wait...not that I expected one.

The combat is largely the same (4 people now, but it doesn't change dynamics too much), but the humor is better IMO, mostly due to the chirper. But yeah, might be best to have a break. Especially if you platinum all of them like me

Damn the last one just released, they must sale really well.

These are remakes using the same engine for all remakes (an extension of Victory's) so not a huge effort either.

Shocking news.

I really hope IF International would localize some non-Neptunia games too. That Makai Shin Trillion game looked very interesting.

website is live (but pretty empty). Anyone want to inform me who the girl is next to Purple Heart/Neptune?

IFI aren't using the same translation as NISA, though, so I don't quite see what that has to do with it.

OT: Awesome news, but expected. I won't have to make Re;birth 2 last now I know the next one is coming!

Who will win the race for most games in the shortest amount of time? Five Nights at Freddy or Hyperdimension Neptunia? Stay tuned.

I'm pretty sure a large amount of Rebirth 2 is completely unedited actually. 1 was re-localized because the original was changed as well. Cave's VA is the only major change I noticed in Rebirth 2. I think much of the Chirper stuff is new though. I'd be surprised if 1 wasn't the biggest localization challenge by a good amount.

these are only being localised not developed, they're already out in japan and were spread out i think to 3 titles last year and 2 in 2013

curious if the beginning is better than rebirth 1-2.

hate the early game for this series when you have no MP and no EXE skills.

Oh, fair enough, I didn't know that. I haven't played the PS3 originals, but I saw a load of comparison screenshots of RB2 when it first released showing different dialogue.

I wonder what Idea Factory International will do when they catch up with all Neptunia games.

Everything else Idea Factory/Compile Heart releases. It's not like their output slows down!

Uh it's better story-wise in that it doesn't take AGES to get your CPUs together, not really sure about MP or EXE skills. 1 and 2 didn't even originally have those though, I think 3 introduces them decently early. You're not supposed to get the super expensive skills (they used to be MP skills) in Mk2 until late game. Victory was designed with them in mind, but I forget how soon you really get them.

But Plutia is good to use even without magic and has very good magic as well. And it seems Rebirth 3 dumps all the humans and oracles on you at once in the start for free so that should be great.

Catch up on some old stuff like moero I guess. And maybe certify Rebirth 1 for PS TV
hahahahaha ugh

Don't forget they probably have some work to do for the Steam versions of crap too

I hope this is better than part 2. I really liked the first one, but the second one was pretty underwhelming.

These games are coming out way too fast...
Like other people have said, these have been out in Japan for a while. Much of the work is already done, and since the games share engines, it's doubly easy to implement changes from one iteration to another. Also, IFI are a direct subsidiary of IF, so I bet it's easier to work on localization even though they're Calfiornia based, since they probably have direct access to developer resources, while I don't think an unrelated localization studio like NISA would have such ease (they especially had trouble patching stuff).

While it doesn't "seem" different, if you play them back to back you'll notice a ton. Also, it's entirely revoiced, and actually has way more of a dub than the usual.
Also It's pretty cool to see how far some of the actresses have come since 2012. I think this was the first big game for some of them like Sarah Williams and CMB (though they've been in anime before that).

I might as well explain this now, but they refurbished the system a bit.

SP no longer exists as a stat. Rather it's an individual bar that fills up with combos, up to a max of 1000 for everyone. The bar does not reset between dungeons, and will carry over SP built up, unless you have less than 250SP, at which point it defaults to that.
It also serves as a resource for transforming and EXE drives. EXE drives always take 750SP. Meanwhile, Formation and Lineup skills (your 2, 3 and 4 man EXE drives) actually only take 500SP.
Here's the biggest catch though. No one learns EXE drives anymore. You have to earn them for each character by fulfilling in-game challenges. So basically everyone has to fulfill requirements, at which point you can buy the EXE with plans.
You can also use the plan system to tune up character stats. I'm not to keen on this yet though. I'm surprised some of this stuff hasn't been mentioned in the press release but I guess it's a bit early.

O... to.. me?
I am constantly surprised at the amount of girls asking for IF visual novels to come over. I never thought that would have any appeal in the west.

Hakuouki sold pretty well to have like 2 re-releases and 1 spin-off game here in the west so there is some market for otome games in the West.

I may or may not be willing to give some of them a try if they were to come over.
