Easiest way to see the difference in the slit distance
It's too bad it's not in native 1080p.

Forbes shouldn't be reporting on any video game related material at all.
What do they know? I'd take what they say anything video game related with a grain of salt
Damn this keeps getting worse. I feel sorry for the people who open it up thinking their gonna get hours of gaming in. I know them feels. Even though Sony will rectify it swiftly you still have to wait a couple of weeks.
Except... it's not getting worse. ffs
So the Forbes unit going bad isn't true? I swear that every time I come back to the thread a new one bit the dust.
That was literally the first one in hours. The list is only at like 11 calm down.
So am I right in saying that it's getting worse? I didn't say "oh shit failure rate 99%", I said it's getting worse. Which it is.
not necessarily. More units have been shipped so it could be getting better.

To be technical in those hours multiple people have gotten home and received their brand new PS4s and connected them, updated them and found them not to be bricked do it can be said in some ways that since that with more people who open their PS4 and connect it and update it and have find no issue the percentage goes down that the situation actually in some ways gets better.
of course not for those having the issue, and hopefully there is a solution found and it is not widespread but this Chicken Little stuff is just mind numbing[/spoiler
See, I just blathered on too long.

I understand that the more consoles shipped that aren't defective brings down the failure rate. What I'm saying is that when I left, only 8 consoles went bad and now it's 11.
Some people are just too defensive.

I coulda swore the list was at 10 + the Forbes one.
200 can go bad and it would be considered pretty good (on the initial 4000)
Oh Deadpool, you have all of the answers. Not defensive, I assure you (well I can only speak for myself)
Just trying to do what this little voice in my head tells me.

Good news i guess.http://kotaku.com/good-news-about-our-once-broken-ps4-1464813671
Kotaku fixed their PS4
Just a bent in in HDMI port, Sony reps put it back down.
Ya'll overreact too much.
http://pastebin.com/DcaQQZYMIt was at 8 last I heard, not sure where 11 came from.

Shrugs, whoever is maintaining the pastebin is providing links to each instance. But, if you prefer lalalalala nothing to read here.I cant comment on half of those, most of those have not been reported here ........ a pastebin file by someone random is not a definitive source.
Kotaku fixed their PS4, it was a bent up wire in the HDMI port, bent it back and works.

What luck is it that IGN, Kotaku and Forbes are apart of this 0.4%?

They never checked, had it picked up by Sony beforehand.
well I can guarantee I will be requesting a replacement if I'm retired to bend metal to make my ps4 work. some things I expect to work right out of the box without repair by me.
