Death Prophet
Agreed. How this article is just so sure that it isn't a video game ARG is pretty funny.
"We know it's not an ARG... here's a bunch of guesses that are loosely tied to BSG. WE FIGURED IT OUT GUYS."

well how are we so sure it is?
It's Battlestar Gallactica...
http://www.dailydot.com/fandom/battlestar-galactica-reboot-pronunciation-book/
The youtube channel was started April 14, 2010. Pronunciationbook.com was registered April 15th 2010 by [real name redacted], the guy who did TIMM, meaning that this was likely an ARG/Storytelling event all along.
That sounds like such a stretch...
Countdown Day 64: No one is singing. Every day is the same.
Is it Battlestar? This could easily be a description of Cylon-occupied New Caprica.
Its counting down and ending on my birthday, which coincidentally is the same time Halo 3 came out a couple of years ago.
My money is on this is related to Halo and its universe.
Good point and something to keep in mind, which is why I posted in OT.I think we should only look at it as being 'about something' once it's been proven to be about something. People say it is bringing all sorts of things to mind for them; might miss relevant details if we focus on the parts that fit what we think it's about.

So far, we have people dead certain it's about BSG, Halo, Hunger Games, and a book called 77 Days of September.
All the confirmation we have is that the channel most likely belongs to a grassroots ARG creator. Which sorta puts 'corporate promotion of something' off the table.
The worst phase of any ARG is the people who constantly try to get a peak behind the curtain. :lol
Regardless, we don't have much to go on as far as digging further into the narrative as it is right?
I honestly believe this is going to be a sequel to "This Is My Milwaukee"

Half Life 3 will be announced.
Every conspiracy theory leads to a Half Life 3 announcement.
So what was this arg for? All descriptions I've found just talk about the beginning but nothing about the reveal.I honestly believe this is going to be a sequel to "This Is My Milwaukee"

I see, So it was just a vehicle for a story about an alternate reality Milwaukee where alien plants were attacking people and a corporation (Blackstar) tried to cover it up? I can appreciate that.It was to tell a story. Not every ARG has to be promoting something.

New video, of course.
"Stressful day? Play some volleyball."

Time to look for deadrops at the beach!
Was there beaches in BattleStar Galactica? Meh, doesn't matter, this has to be BSG.
I'm thinking perhaps the re-release of the original trilogy, perhaps on Steam or maybe the announcement of a port of the trilogy on Xbox One
You mean a guy did an account for just a re release of some games? (not taking anything that Halo has done)
Anyway, for the lazy, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ynnIeFPfAU8
This is getting weirder and weirder. So good.
DEAD OR ALIVE XTREME BEACH VOLLEYBALL 3! THIS IS THE PLOT GUYS! TRUST ME!
Setting up this YouTube account sounds like a pretty clever way to keep yourself open to making an ARG about just about anything years down the line, lol.
I think the Google Doc is where most stuff is updated. If you scroll down a few pages you'll see the newest pictograph. They update it pretty fast I believe.
I'm done making speculations too. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy this ARG.
I never realized how indepth people are getting into this ARG. This is incredible.
Also, not commenting on your own games is like, puppetmaster 101.
Hopefully I don't start getting accused of making the whole thing like I did with the last ARG I played >.< Just cause I know a lot about the genre doesn't mean I make all the games! And I am far from the leading authority on ARGs.

Lurking secretly in player chatrooms and simply watching the reactions is enough
