Hope the Neversoft merge breathes some new life into the company. Infinity Ward hasn't made anything inspired in 7 years, but Neversoft's Extinction mode was the best part of Ghosts.

By the way, if anyone is interested, GameDealDaily is selling the Ghosts Season pass for PS4 (and PS3) for $4.75

After all the recent games I'm sure this is gonna be another piece of shit. Black Ops III was cool for like 2 hours, I sincerely regret buying it.

If they can ground the series again and make a decently paced campaign with some semblance of characterization and pacing, as well as a multiplayer that returns to the roots of the game, then maybe.... maybe it could be good.

God no. I enjoy most Cod campaigns, though I haven't done Blops 3 yet. I started it and was not excited about the bots.

If this game ignores the movement system and specialist abilities that Blops 3 has planted it's flag on, I'll buy it immediately.

It won't be Ghosts 2. They won't even mention Ghosts and pretend IW didn't make it, just look at the OP where they mention from MW but no mention of Ghosts.

It's Modern Warfare 4 or an entirely new series. Ghosts is dead.


But a game by the developers of MW3 and Ghosts? Nooooooo thank you, I'll save my money for Titanfall 2.

I'm just happy they're making a new title and not taking a year off and leaving us with a remake or more Black Ops DLC. I hope they learn from their experience on MW3 and Ghosts to build a better game, not dumb down the maps like Tryarch did. Ghosts was the only game in a long time to bring back the emphasis on situational awareness and having to work as a team to survive. That's the Call of Duty game I want to play. Not another jumpey future shooter - they will absolutely get exposed if they try to compete with Titanfall 2.

WWII, MW4, Ghosts 2, I don't care. Just give me another Infinity Ward game, please.

Agreed. I actually remember way more moments from the campaign than I do from Black Ops III. Also, fully agree with your spoilered bit. To me it felt
totally unnecessary and ruined what easily could've been a one-off story line.

Ghosts wasn't that great but at least it was a real CoD with real CoD gameplay and map design,instead of the cookie cutter, run and gun, arena maps of the last two games.

and although Ghosts' campaign was lackluster to say the least it was still ten times better than BO3's shitacular campaign.

Agreed, eventhough MP is the biggest draw for COD, Let's not forget things like "All Ghillied Up"
Those things define a good COD, MP is MP regardless. Might as well just release map packs instead if theres no campaign.

With their first shot at a 3 year development cycle, I'm gonna be optimistic for Infinity Ward. Just hope they don't have to deal with last gen stuff.

Can't wait to see what they're doing, hoping for MW4, MW 1&2 remaster or Ghost 2. If there's exo suits I'm checking out of cod for the foreseeable future. Blops 3 started off fun for me but I jut really hit my limit this time.

Activision needs Infinity Ward's game to be a success after the disaster of Ghosts. I think it's pretty safe to say it's a new entry in the Modern Warfare series.

Hell no, if it doesn't have wall running and boost jumping I ain't interested.

Also I wish people would stop asking for WW2 to come back, the devs just might listen and then we'll just get a repeated cycle instead of something new. WW2 has been done to death, I don't think there's been a campaign or major battle that games haven't covered.

As amazing as the gifs were, I really hope the reveal is handled a lot better than it was for Ghosts. There was so much cringe involved, especially with how proud they were that they surprised people by not making Modern Warfare 4.

I think the engine debuted with AW, though I imagine that they're bound to take things further than that game and BO3 did.

In any event, there won't be any consideration given to 360/PS3 SKUs, especially now that we know Activision is content with outsourcing and selling gutted multiplayer-only versions of the current game that kind of resemble the big boy version.

This is very much my opinion. Hell, played Blops 2 every year after the current CoD failed to impress. AW only got me about 29 hours of play(same with ghosts amazingly enough), while we always went back to blops 2(503 hours over the 3 years - blops 3 sitting at 105 so far).


The game very much needs a beta like blops 3 did to have a good shot of me caring. :p

Either a MW remake, or, made in similar time frame, or possibly older times and I'd maybe, maybe consider, especially if they just focus on MP even at the cost of no SP.

pretty much my black ops 2 is sitting at 876 hours, aw is at 114 hours, ghosts is at 105 hours, and black ops 3 is at 43 hours. but black ops 3 beta was somewhere around 40 hours too

I'll pass this year. BO3 is great but hasn't held my attention as much as I thought it would. I liked AW campaign but not multiplayer. Didn't like Ghost at all. No faith in IW.

I dont want to see the sky being filled with UAVs that last less than the announcer telling you there is an UAV when there is like 4 in line filling that UAV spot

All I care is that there is no more futuristic/Scifi junk. I want real world weapons only. Last couple games have me feeling like I am playing Halo or Unreal.

I would love to see the game based on a less than widely known theater of combat from the 1980s. You know maybe something that DID NOT involve the US or British.
