It's the 3D World engine alright.
Of course we can't judge a book based on its cover so we gotta wait before jumping to conclusion.
But you're judging the game engine based on a marketing render?

This is going to sell millions of copies while IO Interactive and the Hitman IP are on life support.

Super Mario RPG-killer, here we come.
To be fair, SMRPG has already been bested by the first two Paper Mario games.
Rumors that have been talking about this for months said that the game looked a lot like 3DW but was using the South Park engine. It's the 3D World engine alright.

Maybe these is actually a new Bunny Suit for the next Super Mario 3D game?
That Rabbids X Mario game is real, isn't it.

What if it's a good game?

We really want Laura Kale to be right on at least one goddamn thing.
I don't think there's ever been a Rabbids game which is rumored to be a SRPG though. So it's already not going to be like any Rabbids game before it, even less so when you factor in Nintendo likely overseeing/assisting with development.
I'm finding it quite easy to keep an open mind here.

That's cool. I personally hate rabbids and don't like Mario RPGs. I'll still check out stuff on this game, because I like seeing the reactions, but it's not something I'm gonna play myself. That said, there is that small possibility that whatever they show may be interesting to me, but going off of my own personal history I doubt it's something I'll buy. Pic is ugly, though.

Fair enough. If you're basing it on the rumored game style plus this picture then I can understand where you're coming from.
But I personally just can't comprehend people not liking a particular game 100% due to a character design. That's just not something I can wrap my brain around. Might be a me problem though.
At least we know what game Nintendo will spend half of their E3 presentation on that no one really wants or cares about.
From the moment I heard "Mario and Rabbids crossover" I was like "uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" and this picture basically clinches it. The fuck even is this game and why did Nintendo think it was a good idea? Did Ubisoft really sell them some crazy bullshit about Rabbids being huge in the West or something? A Mario and Rayman crossover RPG would've been way better than this creepy shit.
The worst part about this is that this is Ubisoft's "Nintendo 3rd Party Pitch". It probably won't sell well at all and it'll be Ubisoft's excuse to never touch the Switch afterwards. I guess I can't blame them after ZombiU flopped, but at least that was cool. At least it wasn't.......this.
