And finally, I know what the song from their "mix for drowned in sound" was called!
"First Love" is my shit.

I loved that mix soo much I edited myself and named that tracks ... it really helped the wait for DX..

first track on DX is TASWELL.. I'm from and live in Tazewell fate.. :p <3

Friendzone fo lif...
I really needed this the JJ album was amazing but it only had like 3 tracks I never heard before there all on his youtube account....
freindzone is probably my second fav artist behind nujabes ..he should stay instrumental and stop letting rappers shit on his masterpieces..

Hey, guys

Just a question but would anyone of you be interested in a real jazz topic too?
I love this thread to death but sometimes I find it sad that there isn't a designated place to share some old school jazz on GAF.

Gonna be a bit for his new stuff, probably.
He just released a new album this January. He might release some new singles.

Loci Records, however....

As soon as October 22th (next tuesday), is what he said in one of the comments last week :).

Midnight Marauders by A Tribe Called Quest, Mecca and the Soul Brother by Pete Rock and CL Smooth.

So I listened to these and loved them as well. Also, I've been playing The Score a lot recently too.

Is there much modern jazz rap? We don't talk about it a lot in GAF-Hop. I mean, I know DOOM has a lot of jazz influence in his stuff (King Geedorah - Take Me To Your Leader is one of my favorite albums of all time), but are there any modern jazz rap classics?

Blu has some great jazz rap tracks. One of my favourite MC's.

I know I'm late I just listened to Kenichiro Nishihara's latest album which was released earlier this year.

This is a bit different from the rest of his other albums because he has some Japanese hardcore rappers on here. All the rapping is also in Japanese.

And it doesn't sound as varied as his previous stuff, but I still enjoyed it. Every song is good, it's just that they all sound similar.
