Only playable games can win the official Game Critics award thing. What's the reason behind that? Wouldn't all those meaningless E3 awards at least generate hype for some people?

Didn't Titanfall win the judges vote last year?isn't Judges Week generally just stuff that's likely to be skipped overall by press on the show floor proper
I think most people are expecting the big news to be from games that won't be playable. So they wouldn't have been shown at Judges Week in the first place.
Judges would only see playable stuff though, right?
Most of the megaton announcements are the stuff we get reveals for, but no playable demo, surely?

No.Isn't judges week just for already announced stuff?
What was the last "game of the show" that came out the same calendar year? Uncharted 2? I expect big reveals and surprises... I just do not expect to play any of them this year.

I'm expecting lots of reveals for 2015/2016 games, but we've been warned for a while now not to expect all that much for 2014 outside of what we already know.
This, hype continues. They only show playable games at Judge's Week right?
I'm guessing most of the bombs won't actually be playable at E3.

I've been assuming that this will be a pretty barren fall so I'm not going to get too excited, anyway.
