Don't get where u mean to go.
Let's look at the U island as it is on the map.
Let's use the 1 to 12 clock points.
Where 6 is south, 12 is north, 9 is west, 3 is east.
Where is the place i have to bomb? 4/5?
It's hard to explain without a high resolution map.

Look on the bottom of the U / Ring shape (south) there are two small sections that are independent from the main bit.

On the map they should look like this:

- -.

Kinda. They're separated by water. Attack the one that looks like a Tetris shape.

Edit :lol

Was assuming you'd found all the collectables. Rookie mistake not using the signal indicator.

Get it using the signal!!!
Now it makes sense.
There's a way not to look for a piece of stuff inch by inch!!

one more thing, what is the advantage getting a place at 100%?
Thanks again!
You get some Chaos/Money I believe, plus it helps you get achievements/trophies/ePenis.

Yep mate, you right.
I didn't figure out how the signal worked.

I did the same and while I had no problem up to 3.5 hours in, I restarted at normal. I kept a save from Experienced though. Went back today a couple times between and while it wasn't HARD, it was less fun, a bit more tedious.

Game is drop dead gorgeuos though!...

anybody else getting a sweet HD Jungle Strike feel when in a heli and strafing a base?:D

I've been wanting that game updated and I got a little bonus here.

Oh man the memories. Best title screen song ever?

Does the Bolo Patch prevent you from gaining achievements? I am so sick and tired of having half the Panau military on my ass when I blow up a fucking transformer in some remote village. Unlocking higher heat levels has pretty much made my compulsiveness even more of a chore now that I have to deal with constant elites and attack choppers. Hell, I find that I can't even finish collecting boxes without pissing them off anymore, almost every village seems to have a zone of danger (yellow exclamation mark on the side of your minimap) that makes no sense that as soon as I wander into, I'm halfway to Heat 2.

I even found a small village that the whole area was yellow exclamation. I thought that was saved for military bases??

And speaking of which, what's up with military bases and airports being a breeze? You don't get hardly any reinforcements harassing you in them. It's the fucking villages that are the biggest pain in the ass.

Enemies stop respawning at some locations when they get to 100% AFAIK (not all though, military bases seem to still have people around in them).

I'm almost positive it doesn't affect chieves. I unlocked a couple last night using infinite ammo.

Plus you get a comparatively substantial cash/chaos reward and it also gives you a little checkmark on the map to let you know that you don't need to clear this settlement.

Is the PS3 YouTube uploading insanely slow for anyone else?

I've had the "ATTENTION: Uploading to YouTubeTM" screen for an hour now. For a 30 second clip. It seems suspiciously like it might have given up without telling me.

Uhh, am I going crazy here? When I first started playing this game, I left on fraps to get a good idea of how I ran it, and I pretty much stayed at 35 FPS on my rig (965 BE, DDR3 4 gigs, HD 5770.) Well, decided to put on some 2x msaa and check my performance and I was sitting at 65-75 on average. So I thought that was weird and turned it off and checked again and I was sitting around 80FPS now. Wtf? What's with my sudden dramatic change?

Not complaining of course.. Just confused.

If it's stuck on the in game menu red screen, I'm pretty sure it's a glitch. Happened to me a couple of days ago. When it uploads, it supposed to go to the XMB screen so I just restarted the game.

just started this, its almost overwhelming when you start understanding the scale of this game! Enjoying the basic gameplay, have 100 per cented a couple of locations but barely scraped 30 per cent on some during the early missions. Jacking helicopters is very useful and getting the hang of this grappling thing will be fun.

so for those of you who have made some progress in this game, what do you think the most important things are to focus on when you start? Have not spent anything in the black market yet and haven't even thought about upgrading weapons etc though I've picked up a few upgrade chests, I've just used whatever I've found so far.

Be sure upgrade black market vehicles and weapons whenever you can, they'll be a huge help especially on higher difficulties. Other than that just have fun and explore, doing missions at your leisure. Some of the best moments in JC2 are caused completely at random.

Any idea if the ammo issueswill be fixed? It really is annoying.

And the money system is also completely broken. You don't get enough to be able to spend them freely on vehicles/weapons since they're all one-time use only.

How do you upgrade stuff? I've been collecting boxes of upgrades and parts for ages now but I don't know what to do with them?

Half my shit are still "locked" with the blackmarket delivery man.

This happened to me twice yesterday.

I'm so pissed because I had a really funny glitch I was saving a video of.

I was attacking a military base, and a SAM launcher shot at me but I dodged the missile. As a few minutes went by I had destroyed all the SAM launchers, but I could still hear the constant sound of a missile travelling in the air. WTH? And there was no "bomb" icon on the HUD indicating a missile coming.

I thought it was just an audio loop glitch or something, then I saw something in the air. I flew closer in my chopper, and I see what it is. It's a SAM stuck travelling in a PERFECT circle. :lol :lol

Just constantly around and around. I even hovered my chopper right in the middle of the circle as this SAM just flew around me. It was awesome, and as I went to upload to YouTube, it got stuck at the red "attention" screen.

When you click on the unlocked item in the black market, you'll see two options below where you see your money and upgrade parts. The left one shows how much to purchase the item. The right one shows how many upgrade parts to spend to upgrade the weapons/vehicle. Upgrdaes cost 5*(star level) it seems like.

you unlock new vehicles and weapons as you create more chaos. To upgrade, you go to the black market and you have the option to upgrade your equipment there.

Understand that it takes a lot of parts to upgrade a single item. I only have the SMG and rocket launcher upgraded. Each one took maybe 80 to 90 parts to get to the maximum potential. That said, the SMG kills enemies almost instantly now.

Really? I've got like 2 million already and can spend pretty liberally. Ammo isn't an issue once you upgrade your guns.

It is if you're an OCD son of a bitch.

I can't go on a mission until I have full ammo on all 3 of my guns, and I dont' buy it. Grenades too. Triggered explosives are the only exception since they're harder to find.

Speaking of fighter jets, I'm not all that impressed with the G9 Eclipse.

Sure it's weapons are pretty hardcore, but its so huge it can't maneauver very fast at all.

I prefer the smaller Leopard jet (that sorta looks like a harrier) since it still has good firepower and can turn on a dime.

I don't have any problem with ammo, in fact I like that it's somewhat limited. Running out of ammo was the best way to learn creative ways to use the grappling hook in combat.

Also, I've never intentionally bought a single weapon from the dealer. I've done so accidentally while upgrading, but I can't imagine how you could risk running out of money unless you buy four weapons and a vehicle every time you boot up the game.

Yeah same here, though I have yet to find any other fighter jet besides the G9. Frankley, whenever I need to fly anywhere i'm content to call up my Silverbolt as it's still the fastest thing i've flown, and it's up there as far as maneuverability is concerned.

I'm so tempted to continue on with the missions but I know if I complete the main game I won't be compelled to go around and 100% locations, so I have to stop myself from continuing.

Anyone on the PS3 who switched the shooting/grenades to R1/L1 have problems with the game accepting button pushes? Sometimes if you want to just tap off one or two shots, it doesn't pick it up at all for me. It seems like it only reads analog and not digital in this mode.

I'm hoping to pick up the game today.. this is what I've experienced with the demo - I've tried with a brand spankin' new controller and one that's one of the first DualShock 3's that came out, and got the same results. Can anyone tell me if the final game is like this too, or is having the same problems?

Yea, it's the same. U have to push the R1 button really hard to shoot.

So on the mission at the casino early on in the game, I fell off an edge down a waterfall, and me and my friend simply pissed ourself with laughter as Ricos body span and span and collided with multiple surfaces.. AND HE LIVED. Awesome awesome game :D

I need to get the PS3 triggers. Shooting the the R2 feels weird to me still. I wish I could make it L1-grapple, R1-shoot.
I've never had a problem with R2 and L2, but I bought the triggers anyway because everyone was raving on about them. They are really great though, now I can't get used to the standard triggers, I might have to buy them for all my controllers.

Sometimes I even squish the shoulder buttons when my PS3 is off just so I can feel them.

My new interest is taking out the oil platforms. Those who haven't tried that yet, I suggest you do. Pieces that need to be destroyed are on and around the platform, so it makes for some interesting vertical gameplay. You're not doing everything on a flat plane as you are most of the time.

I finally managed to get my PSN account linked on the website.

Only problem is...my stats are like 5 hours behind. Says I have 17 game hours, I have 22 right now. I want it to update because I'm 6th place in distance driven!! lol :lol

How are people getting 5000m BASE jumps? I thought you have to be on land or something for that to count...I tried jumping out of vehicles and it never counts the distance for those unless I'm mistaken.

wow only a few hours in and did the first mission plus one other for the yakuza type mob and the area they are in is huge, this is obviously going to take some time. Leaving that for now and focussing on the mobs in the more rural bits.

Did the mission for the yakuza types where
you have to defuse four bombs with a time limit
, think it has really helped my grapple / chute skills as you have to fly from location to location and I kept screwing it up so had to redo it a fair few times :lol

Realised with the LE I the dl extras include two fully upgraded weapons so will use them and save my weapon upgrades for the SMG when it unlocks. No idea what to do with my vehicle upgrades, always nick something or jack a chopper to get to the next place I want to go (or get dropped by black market person if possible).

Save your vehicle upgrades for later! You unlock this truck called the Wildchild, and apparently if you upgrade it all the way it gains a rocket launcher like the tanks and some APCs have. That's what I'm doing, I must have like 50-60 vehicle upgrade parts at the moment.

I spent my weapon upgrades on just grenades so far, so I can use less when destroying the military equipment.

I think if you do a stunt jump onto a plane and jump off it counts as a base jump. I got the 1000m trophy by accident this way. :lol

Also, fuck, I really wish I had the hovercraft. Anyone got a code they won't use? :lol

It's easy to destroy the military equipment with a few shots from the upgraded rifle. I'm glad as there is no more hunting down attack copters.

The stats website won't work for me at all, guess i'll try again later. After seeing people get basejumps of 6000+ meters i'm now tempted to try that myself :)
