Media Create Sales: Week 9, 2014 (Feb 24 - Mar 02)

How was the Wii U's second week compared to the PS4's? They had fairly similar numbers out of the gate so it would be interesting to compare.
From recollection the Wii U launched the week prior to the busiest shopping week (?) in the Japanese year so it doesn't make for a very good comparison.

Some poor PS4 numbers, but if they're supply constrained it's not too bad, the coming weeks will be interesting.

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition had a surprisingly low drop (just 30%).

With Knack selling over 1000 more then I'm guessing the initial stock for PS4 has run dry and they are on to standard bundles now. If Sony can get some stock out then I expect it to be the same again next week.

Sony must be really struggling to get consoles out there. Although it's back in stock at Amazon.com is it not?

Does someone have additional sales data for the other Harvest Moon games? I mean, isn't 130k one of the best openings for the series?

And yeah, Marvelous really did a Capcom with that LTD prediction.... :p

Fuck yeah Harvest Moon. For all the previews i've been following it seems like it's supposed to be another great title.

Really looking forward to when it eventually comes over. Fall 2014 would be great!

Yakuza Isshin hitting over 100k on PS4.

Great attach rate and fanbase migration. Hopefully other pubs are taking notice.

Media Create had the same thing last week. Famitsu has it even with hardware.

The PS4 drop is bad but everyone saw it coming.

Didn't even know there was a new Harvest Moon game, but that's a great opening.

Vita is down from last year but this is due to price drop. Vita sold 20k+ for 4 weeks (Week 9 2013 - Week 13 2013) then dropping down to >20k, fluctuating a bit. There's quite a few good releases this Month for Vita, so it might not be that far behind.

Going by the Famitsu numbers/shipment, they probably shipped more than 150k already.
Looks like it. Anyway, I love all the new additions that went into this new one, might even top ANB for me. Can't wait to play it sometime in 2016 in EU.

I thought 100k number is normal starting number for HM. Good for the series then! I hope I can see impression posts anytime soon on Neogaf.
Nope. Even the best selling HM game (Island of Happiness for DS ~305k LTD) opened at 79k (MC)/70k (Famitsu).

It'll fall behind for the next couple of weeks but I think the baseline for this year is a lot steadier. Not long after the price drop last year the Vita was back in sub-15k land post golden week iirc.

29./24. [PS3] Grand Theft Auto V <ACT> (Take-Two Interactive Japan) {2013.10.10} (¥7.770) - 6.094 / 676.423 <80-100%> (+17%)

Yo-kai Watch still going strong, VITA inching towards 3DS even though it's selling less than what it was last year, and a new Harvest Moon game at #1, nice.

Look for me on the local news, I'll be the guy arrested for trying to burn down a Nintendo exec's house.
Vita's first YoY stumbleblock because of the price drop last year. Still, a rise from last week is still the jabs I expect from a champion #20V1T4

We'll see next week what the PS4 situation is because there is definitely some supply constraint going on, but not to the same level as everywhere else in the world where its at a manic level of uptake. Ground Zeroes swooping in at the right time almost feels like its release is intrinsically linked to "next gen needs an early push".

30k is a big number leap. Does the game have more marketing/hype than the previous 3DS game?

I presume that the new model is much more cost efficient thus Sony could do another price cut to keep the momentum

yup, maybe in the MGS week it will be supply constrained again

The Vita sales are rising again. #20v1t4 #beastmode #champion

The MC numbers are not good for the Wii U, seeing as it is the only platform that dropped in sales at that tracker.

still ~250k per month, not too shabby for a country with less than half the population of the US and supposedly no interest in home consoles.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
So, PS4 situation.

First week shipment left around 40-50k across the country unsold.
Last week there has been a second shipment for the Limited pack, as seen through Yodobashi's site. A small one, that still didn't sell out completely, since we've had reports of people finding the console in Japan, and that took three days to be almost sold out at Yodobashi. It doesn't seem to be as supply costrained as over here, for sure.

Again, I want to know if this page is the one stating PS4's stock situation across the country and what it says
