I keep forgetting that football means something else outside US/Canada :S
It means what it is meant to mean. A game in which you primarily contact your foot with the ball.
please be aimed at the hardcore pleaase
FPS that will rival Halo.
Where does the name Soccer even come from?
The first football association ancryom was S.O.C.C.E.R.Where does the name Soccer even come from?
Like his previous games (Pikmin, Wii Fit, Nintendogs), it will probably be aimed at himself.
it'll be a game based on what ever recent hobby Miyamoto has picked up
Last I heard, it was swimming

the F2P game, I suppose
Probably worth remembering Miyamoto does not consider "new franchise" to equate to "new characters".
So....they were trying to get the Marios out of the gate early, and then focus on other and brand new franchises?
That's not a bad plan. I guess in retrospect it made sense, but they've still got a lot of catching up to do with the Wii U. If the 3DS can turn around, I'm trusting they can turn Wii U around too.
This is what I was thinking. And yeah, I know he said that's Steel Diver, but didn't he also say that he wants to experiment with F2P beyond that or something?
Chris Brown.
That excuse doesn't count on WiiU anymore, aka the rehash machine without any kind of vision or overall concept.
Hopefully its as good as Wii Music.
Apart from the fact they're bringing out a big budget new IP from a renowned creator in a month or two, of course.

Change "Good Wii U games" to "Miyamoto's new franchise"
Mario Football. Gotta fill in that hole EA left behind.

"This doesn't count because it won't sell well!" or something. Why do people ignore Wonderful 101? It's nothing like Pikmin too.

Came to post this. Mario Cricket will be something.Probably worth remembering Miyamoto does not consider "new franchise" to equate to "new characters".
Metroid x Starfox FootballWhole line up into place Miyamoto??
Where the hell is my Metroid, F-Zero and StarFox?
Nintendog/cat needs a new pet.

Shame ain't severe enough yet. If the wiiu has a weak holiday and they get schooled by the other 2 systems, it might be.
I'll believe the shame got to them if we see games that are made with a sales-first mindset instead of a just-messing-around one. Realistic zelda instead of stylized, 2d mario game with original worlds instead of misguided attempt to convince 2d gamers to try out 3d. Metroid that doesn't revolve around plot. Etc.
Cool. I hope it's a full retail game and not some eShop thing.
