I've been using Moviepass for a few years now, so I definitely won't complain about the lower price. Selling the data to analytics groups is perfect, I'm shocked it wasn't done sooner. I do hope it works out well for them, since it's a hell of a deal now, especially with removing stuff like cancellation fees. Only has a few issues in the time I've used it, and most were from when theaters were bought and changed names/prices before the Moviepass database updated with the new info.

They don't have that restriction any more. The clock resets every day at like 2am. So you could see a 9pm movie then a 10am matinee.

Yeah that one was annoying. I just wish they'd allow repeat viewings, not many movies I'd try to see twice but the option would be nice.

Netflix co-founder... the pricing makes sense now. After seeing the metrics of how many people go months without returning their Blu Rays they figure this will be similar. If people can't be bothered to make the 8 foot walk from the couch how often will they be driving to the theater?

I've had this for two years and love it, altho if you live somewhere with heavy reserve seating, I understand why this might not be the best idea. Otherwise it's a steal.

Like google, they want your movie-viewing data to sell to advertisers.
If you are going to like 6 movies a month, they get great data
If you go like once or twice a month, they probably negotiate a price with the theater and aren't loosing money on you.

I had this for almost 3 years before canceling about 6 months ago. The price increased from $30 to $40. Then they implemented a stupid policy where a theater only had a set amount of tickets for each morning, afternoon, and night. And they were almost always low or out when I checked. I signed back up. I just hope the number of tickets policy is gone.
