It's been weeks now and I still can't get that "Winter Wrap-up" song out of my head.

Personally, I didn't really catch pony fever until episode seven; it seemed like everything before was decent with potential, then everything afterwards just got better and better. The first two episodes really made it seem like Sailor-Moon-with-ponies instead of the slice-of-life it actually is.

It's also very interesting to see the haters out in force against this phenomenon, one even in this thread. It's like the thought of grown men being entertained by a cartoon ponies is inexplicable to them, an unholy deviancy against nature. My friend looked at me with pity in his eyes when I recommended MLP to him (which is not entirely unfounded given he likes watching Heartcatch Precure). I told him that I watch MLP for the same reasons that I watched Avatar the Last Airbender: good writing, good voice-acting, good animation, and uncomplicated fun. Sure, I might feel a little gay afterwards, but what's wrong with that? Don't we all deserve some gaiety in spite of this corrupted and listless world?

Synopsis:
Fluttershy offers to have Sweetie Belle and her two friends come to her cottage for a sleepover, but she may find that she has bitten more than she can chew after she finds that the three kids (who call themselves "The Cutie Mark Crusaders" - see episode 1.12) just aren't able (or willing) to keep out of harm's way.

My opinion:
Not nearly the best of the episodes we've seen so far, but still pretty enjoyable and with plenty of enjoyable moments, despite being affected by some pacing problems. The Cutie Mark Crusaders are much less annoying than people thought they would be when they were first introduced. Since Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle are now reasonably fleshed out, this means we'll probably have a Scootaloo-focused episode soon.

Ha! I liked that too and thought the same thing.

As long as they don't overdo the CMCs, they are cool with me. I still prefer the main cast, but a CMC ep every once in a while is not bad.

My favorite episode so far was on the other week; the Rarity fashion show one. Love the music from that episode.

I decided to watch the first episode on the youtube channel posted because I liked PPG and Foster's. I really like the look (yeah I know, flash like) it's nice and clean and simple so still looks great when I have the 420p resolution at full screen. The episode was good enough to hold my interest and make me chuckle and laugh a few times.
Think I'll watch the next episode to see if I really like it. Last cartoon I started watching because of GAF was Adventure Time and that has become one of my favourite cartoons.
