From visionary Director Bong Joon Ho, this grand global adventure follows a friendship too big to ignore. Meet Mija, a young girl who risks everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend – a massive animal named Okja. Following her across continents, the coming-of-age comedy drama sees Mija's horizons expand in a way one never would want for one's children, coming up against the harsh realities of genetically modified food experimentation, globalization, eco-terrorism, and humanity's obsession with image, brand and self-promotion.

Hits Netflix June 28.

Disliked snowpiercer but the rest of his movies have been pretty dope. So I'm always willing to give a film of his a shot. Netflixs movie output this year is looking really cool. Pretty hyped for war machine too

Alas, day 0.

Admittedly, the teaser itself does little for me, but Bong Joon Ho consistently delivers incredible work. Seems foolhardy to bet against him.

Not much to go on but I'm in.
I'm torn on Snowpiercer but thanks to Memories of Murder, The Host and Mother, Bong Joon Ho is my favorite director working today.

Netflix on a roll, man. Its very obvious all these interesting ideas were just floating out there with no outlet. Amazon and Netflix have become conduits for some interesting films.

Was so-so on Snowpiercer, but Memories of Murder and Gweomul are some of my favourite films of all time so I'm in. Bong seems to have a good relationship with Swinton seeing how she's back and seems pretty central.

I wish Netflix produced another thriller by Bong Joon Ho in the vein of Memories of Murder.

A Korean crime series would be fantastic.
