First Halo to peek my interest since the original. 2 and 3 had terrible campaigns. The rest I didn't bother with.
Will follow this and might pick it up if the campaign looks promising.
I don't think he's responsible for chara design. he's a man of vision and atmosphere, nothing in his work makes me think he's down to the nitty gritty of bringing characters to life.

Only the last level of H3 was entertaining. The rest was a pile of shit. And no Master Chief means no buy ...Halo 3 had an amazing campaign, except for Cortana.
You should look into ODST though. Great experience.

Add The Storm, Floodgate, The Ark, The Covenant and Sierra 117.Tsavo Highway says "Hi"
So levels like The Covenant are shit but the last level was entertaining? talk about weird opinions.
All the Halo 3 levels besides the last two were amazing...some of them are easily some of the best levels in the franchise.
Covies are there, but not the main enemy afaik.
They are not the main enemy.
The fact that they are still an enemy at all is still weird. They are not the main enemy and wont play that big of a role in Halo 4.
Levels 2-7 were great. Overall Halo 3 is my favorite in the series, I'll never understand the hate.
SO GOOD.

Cortana looks like a bug eyed teenager. Also those teeth. >_<

I'd just play them all in the order they were released. Halo 3, then ODST, then Reach.I bought 3, reach and ODST cheap from game recently - only previously played 1&2. Should I skip one/more or play them in any particular order?

Halo 2 happens at the same time as ODST not 3.chronologically: Reach, Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3 + ODST (kinda take place at the same time).
Reach can be played whenever, it does not really matter that much.
edit: or what Gui said
First time in the history Halo might be a decent game. From the visual side at least.
